What film did you watch last night?

Just watched Brothers - 2009

Really good film, hits home about how much post traumatic stress disorder comes about when you come home from a tour and how it effects the person and the family.

Natalie Portman is one of my favourite actresses hands down at the moment

8/10

Recent films I have watched include:

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - 3/5

The French Connection - 5/5

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest - 5/5

Death Proof - 2/5

An American Werewolf in London - 4/5

Shutter Island - 4/5

The Green Mile - 4/5

Evil Dead 2 - 3/5

I'm an absolute film machine at the moment, watching at least one a day :D

Sunshine - Seen it before, far fetched story and felt quite drawn out but worth a watch just wish they didn't do all the funny scrambled visions in the latter stages of the film (can't say any more or it gives it away). DO enjoy the music in it. 6/10

I agree Sunshine was really good - until the whole slasher thing kicked off
Cant fault the soundtrack though - simply outstanding!

Back on topic I've just finished watching Kill The Irishmen on the recommendation of a friend and what a brilliant movie it was. Tells the true story of Danny Greene and his rise through the the criminal underworld with all the links to the Mafia in Cleveland in the 70's.

Some big names in there too including Christopher Walken, Vinnie Jones, Val (God he's got fat) Kilmer and an outstanding performance from Ray Stevenson as Danny.

9/10

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan - 9/10

I only remember watching this as a kid (11 years old, maybe 12?), so I remembered parts of it, but for the most part I felt like I was watching it for the first time. I honestly felt like I was rediscovering Star Trek. :)

Maybe it's the nostalgia talking, but it was absolutely fantastic. Going to buy all the films now and watch them again.

I watched a couple of films yesterday.

Priest (in 3D) - Quite a surprise actually. Visually quite stunning regardless of being in 3D, I really liked the style of the film and the world they created. The film is quite short and doesn't have much character development, but I actually saw that as a plus, as it didn't feel weighed down by the obligatory romantic subplot and instead felt more like one big film trailer. Just about every scene had something cool about it. Hope they make a sequel. 7/10.

The Tourist - I knew before seeing this it had been described as shallow and pointless so had quite low expectations. I ended up enjoying it however, Jolie was hamming it up a bit but it didn't feel like the vanity project I thought it would be. Horlicks induced thriller with a few laughs thrown in for good measure. I'd put it in the same camp as Intolerable Cruelty and Duplicity. 7/10.
