What film did you watch last night?

Cop Out - 80's style cop comedy directed but not written by Kevin Smith. As a huge fan of Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma etc) I wanted to see this for a while but had reservations as it was not his film - only a film he directed. I was right to be concerned as it was pretty poor really, even if he didn't right the script you would have thought he could do better. It was enteratining enough but won;t be watched again! 3/5

Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father (2008)

Kuenne's close friend Andrew Bagby was murdered by Shirley Jane Turner after Bagby ended their tumultuous relationship. Shortly after she was arrested, she announced she was pregnant with Bagby's child, a boy she named Zachary. Kuenne decided to interview numerous relatives, friends, and associates of Andrew Bagby and incorporate their loving remembrances into a film that would serve as a cinematic scrapbook for the son who never knew him.

The most kick-in-the-teeth documentary film I've ever seen. 8/10

I am Number 4. really enjoyed it. mindless fun. I reckon 3 films to conclude the series.

Me and my pal watched that last Friday night, we both thought it was pants. We didn't realise that it was going to be a series (I'd be amazed if anyone is willing to pay for the subsequent films though) and were both left wondering where the rest of the film was when we finished it.
Even if it is a trilogy, I'd expect the film to still have closure. Each part should be able to be viewed as an individual, separate film.

Human Centipede: The First Sequence - 6/10

I finally cracked and watched this through sheer boredom. It actually wasn't as bad as I expected in terms of gross out/bad film-making. The storyline is virtually non-existent but it passed the time. Acting wasn't really a factor as all most people had to do was muffled groaning. I really didn't find this remotely as offensive as the likes of Hostel etc.

Eden Lake.

Not scary and not as nasty as people say.

Very disappointed after getting it recommended to me.

4/10

Definitely not a keeper!

Hah, one of my favorite thrillers of the last few years! Thought it was sufficiently brutal (in a Funny Games kind of way) and the lad from Skins is awesome in it.

Casino

Not as good as Goodfellas, but what is. Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro are both brilliant in this. I like the way - as with many films of this kind - everything builds and builds until it just has to collapse.

Yeah the bit where he gets his stamp of approval?

edit: they should have used a better photo of the young Red in that book, looks nothing like him! (it's not him is it?).

it also confirms his name when it is called out for the 'roof tarring' job but i've just never clicked onto it before

lincoln lawyer - 7.5/10
killing bono - 6/10 (and that's from a u2 fan!)

Paranormal Activity 2 - Was ok, not as good or as scary as the first, i guess its because i knew the tricks and things that might happen from watching the first.
5/10

Predator 1/2 - Loved the first one, the second one not so much. Pretty poor to be honest.

Predator - 7/10

Predator 2 - 4/10

The Human Centipede

Not as scary / disgusting as it was made out to be, found Martyrs much harder to watch than this. Generally a pretty poor film, 4/10ish.

Generation Kill

Technically a mini series but I polished it off in 2 sittings. Not a show you watch for action but dialogue is simply brilliant at places and the humour just makes you laugh out loud here. Fruity Rudy is just awesome :D

8/10

Moon - 10/10

A friend recommended this film ages ago and I'd forgotten all about it. I only remembered when I saw it in a 2 for £20 Bluray offer today.

I was totally blown away by it. The soundtrack is amazing. It is a truly underappreciated gem of a film that is up there with 2001: A Space Odyssey.
