What film did you watch last night?

Swimming With Sharks - Satire of hollywood film producers with Frank Whaley and Kevin Spacey, not seen this for ages and managed to catch it on iplayer before it disappeared. Dark homour maybe but quite powerful study of how much abuse a person can take, Spacey was brilliant as always. 4/5

The waterboy, still find this very funny though its been out for ages, some great stereotypes of deep south americans.

Blood diamond, never got round to seeing this before, very enjoyable, di caprio is pretty good in this. Quite a harrowing story as well.

TT3D: Closer to the Edge.

Great look at the TT, especially following Guy Martin, really enjoyed it 8/10

Platoon on Blu-Ray, little dated now but overall a brilliant film and great in HD!

Insidious - across between The Excorsist and Poltergeist imo, was ok until about 3/4's of the way though, jumpy in places.

Bad Lieutenant 2009 at weekend, didn't like it one bit.

Ninja Assassin 5/10, average, predictable but good action sequences.
Little Big Soldier 6/10, better than average plot, good action and it's not all slapstick Jackie Chan.
The Tourist 4/10 below average, very predictable plot. Only good scene is on the train at the start.

I watched "Let Me In" the other day and really enjoyed it. It's £13.99 if you want the HD download from itunes which is only 720p. Or you can get it on BluRay from Tesco for £9.99. :D

Mr Smith Goes to Washington - Fantastic political drama with the brilliant James Stewart. A naive young boy scout leader is pushed into the US senate by an unscrupulous businessman, when there he slowly realises what is going on and starts to fight back.

I really enjoyed this 1938 film, it was funny, moving, dramatic etc. Currently 102 on the IMBD Top 250, would recommend.

5/5

Battle: LA or whatever its called, very good. And that's it.

The story was really undeveloped and I just hope there is more to come. The overall picture was pretty good, if you like some close-up and dirty Iraq based military feature films then you'll love this. Swap the insurgents for crazy aliens.

Not too many bad points to be honest.

6/10

I Spit On Your Grave (2010 Remake) - 7/10

It's been a while since i saw the original but i am sure this one had different death scenes in it.
Overall it's not bad and quite gory too.

Limitless

thoroughly enjoyed this one, thought the story, acting and casting were spot on.

In fact i can safely say its easily the most enjoyable film i remember watching in the last 6 months.

8.5/10
