What film did you watch last night?

I caught some of 'Letters from Iwo Jima' and it was petty awesome. I only saw about an hour in the middle, so I've added Flags of our Fathers to my LoveFilm, and then will watch this one properly afterwards :)

Watched 'Slacker Uprising' a few days ago. Very irrelevent viewing in the light of last year's US election to be honest. Pretty boring, not thought provoking, or even interesting.

Also watched 'Seven Pounds', with Will Smith. Brilliant film, really didn't expect much but was very pleasantly surprised. :)

Watched Hard Candy last night on BBC2, never seen it before but had heard it was meant to be a bit disturbing. Have to say i really enjoyed it despite moments where all you could do was sit there in horror. Very good film though, great concept and the young girl played psychotic very well. Only downside was the abrupt (yet good) ending.

8.5/10

Alien 3 Director's Cut
Almost everything about this film is awful apart from the special effects for the Alien which are truly abysmal. How the Alien in a film made in 1979 can look better than the Alien in a film made in 1992 is beyond me.

If I was feeling generous I'd give it 4/10 because the Director's Cut makes far more sense than the theatrical release but I'm not so it gets 3/10.

I know.

Even if it's an OK sci-fi film in its own right, it shouldn't be an Aliens film. To arbitrarily kill off all the main characters from the previous film before the film starts, then kill off the main character of the franchise at the end, is just retarded. I bet James Cameron wasn't best pleased. And for the plot and setting they could have come up with anything, yet they chose a sausage fest male religious penal colony in the middle of nowhere. As Cartman says, 'the ****?

Quite agree, I saw this when it first came out and was very impressed with it.

Ellen Page? Is very good in this, she's outstanding.

Watched both in the last week. Both were enjoyable but i found Letters from Iwo Jima to be the superior.

The first one of the starwars clone wars films on sky.

Not seen any of them before... the other episodes would only be a watch if i had nothing better to do, allright, not great.

This week I have mostly been getting my mum hooked on Lost. :D We're on the second disc of season 2 and we only started a week ago. :D

Quality show.

Right now am I wondering whether to watch Constantine for the first time or re-watch Pulp Fiction which I haven't seen in a couple of years.
