What film did you watch last night?

I saw Thin Red Line at the cinema when i was in my teens. 16? 17?

I thought it was terrible. Then again, I thought it was supposed to be a war movie. I guess i should give it another go.

Got that on my PVR waiting for me.

Watched it when I was a teenager and didn't really get it. Maybe it'll be better now I'm older.

Likewise, didnt get it when it was first released and have now recorded it to try again.

Last night i watched some of harry Brown, thoroughly enjoyed it up until the buying guns part then got bored of it so turned it off......i think i was in a bad mood though so will try again tonight.

Also have Staten Island to watch tonight which i am looking forward to.

I watched The Thin Red Line the other night as well by chance, I didn't think it was very good either. It was almost like it was trying too hard to be poignant and moving, and completely failed.

Last night I watched Spirited Away, being such an anime fan I can't believe it's taken me this long, and it was just as good as I knew it would be. I think now could be a great time to try to get people who wouldn't usually watch this stuff to give it a try, with the recent success of Pixar films such as UP and WALL.E with adult audiences, I think people's minds are much more open to watching animated stuff right now. Or maybe anime has already taken steps into the mainstream and I just haven't noticed yet, I'm not very 'up' on trends...

Thin Red Line is pants. Pants with massive skidmarks. Cant believe i wasted 2 hours on that bilge.

WTF

That film is one of my all-time favourites. It's superb and incredibly under-rated as it came out at the same time as Saving Private Ryan.

Oh well, different strokes and all that.
