What game did you play last?

Map 4 of Massive Darkness 2 done. Took about 4 hours after not playing for a month and forgetting how to play.

Freelancers is new to us and it's a bit nuts and quite silly. App led narrative is pretty good and a few unexpected things that has made us laugh.

Anyone else just feel stupid when it comes to learning new games? Give me a game like Flash Point, Pandemic or Horrified Monsters and I can play though them games.

I picked up a copy of Arkham Horror board game (second edition), and the rules are just going over my head and I start to feel lost and give up. Suppose it isn't helped by a long setup, but also happens with most games I've tried to learn on Tabletop Simulator as well.

Anyone got any easy methods for learning new games that doesn't make them too complex for my mind to follow when reading the manual?

Playthrough vids or at least a tutorial vid
Our group gets set up and we learn together usually and someone will try something new on their turn so we can all see how that particular action works.

Rodney Smith does great How To Play vids!

I bought Game of Life, the 1984 edition, from eBay for £16. Used to play it as a kid with my family in the 80's and thought it would be good to reminisce. It's a simple game but quite fun to play, will be playing again with the family.

New to Tabletop games and DND. Just started "Dragons of Stormwreck Isle" with my 10 year old son. Also purchased Dragon of Icespire Peak, but read that I could use Lost Mine of Phandever as a linked campaign, so I might do that (when I have the time). I have been following lots of videos online about running small sessions, with myself acting as both DM & PC, but letting my son to make all the decisions....

Not played last, but on Monday at my FLGS I am hosting (and playing) a teaching/learning game of World of Warcraft with 4, possibly 5 new to the game players. All players played or still play the MMO so will automatically get used to some of the games mechanics which are quite similar to the MMO. I cannot wait to get 6 of us at the table to try the game as its meant to be played. They all know about the game and understand there can be some downtime (I have a trick up my sleeve to limit down time) and all of them are used to long games, so win win for us all.

Had family over from USA and AUS for a few weeks, so we played Game of Life, Catan, and Cat in the Box, which were all good but the favourites were Quacks of Quedlinburg which is a great game, and One Night Ultimate Werewolf which was fantastic fun and very funny with all the accusations and lying.

I've joined the kickstarter for trench crusade. I absolutely love the vibe of it.
Got some dystopian Wars boxes coming too. Slowly weaning myself off anything to do with games workshop

Played a couple of good deduction games last week.

Couple of rounds of Cryptid. Was no where near guessing correctly for either.
Then a game of Awkward Guests. Love this game, sadly don't get it to the table that often. :(
Finished the evening with Draftosaurus, both sides of the board.

Am owed a couple of games for my birthday (only 5 months late). Thinking Heat - Pedal to the Metal and maybe a couple of the expansions for Space Base. Been playing that quite a lot recently. Also if I can find them some Mystic Vale expansions.

Still waiting for a kickstarter to arrive. Power Vacuum. This month, hopefully...
