What have you done to your car today?

Is there a free or cheap mileage history check resource online which goes back further than the gov.uk MOT history check

What on earth would go back further than the MOT history check? I mean, the only other thing you could use, I guess, would be the actual old MOT certs if your talking about going back further than DVLA keeping electronic records, assuming they are kept. Or paying out for HPI, but then that relies on other methods for checking mileage data I believe. Which they may or may not have access to for that particular car (such as owner entries and such).

So, decided to try a decent wax since I had spent so much time getting her to where she currently is. Note, I still have to do the tailpipes, and the interior.

Anyway, quick scout about the interwebs for the current recommended, reasonably priced wax, and the Bilt Hamber Double Speed Wax came up. So ordered some. Got it this morning, so set about getting some on the car. Here are the results...

In other news, I had a puncture on one of the tyres the other day. Thought it was a good opportunity to stick some new rubber on, so now rocking Michelin PS4's all round. Lovely.

Also, I need more practice with a DSLR.

2006 car, MOT check goes back to 2009 when it was on 17,000 miles. Wanted go check it hadn't been clocked before then. Currently on 45,000 miles.

Good luck. That's what I thought you were meaning to be fair. Do you really think it's likely the car had been clocked in its first 3 years? I mean, it doesn't sound like it has done many miles in the following 8 years either really.

Only thing there is the service history. Check with the dealership to see if they have any info regarding when / mileage of any servicing / repair work carried out.

If serviced at a main dealer, they should have mileage records - although don't know if/when Toyota service records were computerised (e.g. across whole dealer network).

I dunno yet. See how bad it is when I get to them. I have some wire brushes, so I'll give them a blast with that. Then I have a tube of Autosol to polish them with. Nothing exciting.

In fact, I thought I'd just go give it a quick bash. Now, this was only 15-20 mins of hitting it with a wire brush, then doing what I could with my metal polish (which was T-Cut I found first, not Autosol). Obviously needs some more work.

Still, better than before. At least they aint properly black anymore.

Surely it gives you a read out in the car of what the pressure is in each tyre. The one that isn't reporting anything is the broken one?

Unless it's not really TPMS?

The MPS doesn't. It just says "pressure low" then flashes.
And when it's a sensor issue it just flashes.

I read the codes and it presents the code for sensor 3 non registration.

Basically it's died.

Only way to find which one is for Mazda to use their obd reader. Only one with the correct PID

Yep, it's a bit rubbish.

Don't think it's improved on newer models either. It makes no sense because the computer is reading all 4 sensors but Mazda in their infinite wisdom decided to not tell you which one. I'm guessing they're relying on you being able to tell visually.
