What have you done to your car today?

That's pretty cheap :) ARP bolts?

Yea, the cheaper chinese rods are actually well rates and come with ARP2000 bolts, or I can Manley rods + ARP fasteners for about £75 more

That's using all OEM gaskets and OEM rod bearings too. I'm in two minds about doing ARP headstuds while I'm there which is another £150 on top

Nice  How many nags will she be good for then?

Turbo is currently my biggest limit, and I don't particularly want to go too much bigger than what's already fitted as I like the spool/response. I've been contemplating seeing what it'll do on a hybrid TD04 for a long time

Engine I have no idea, I believe stock pistons are likely the next weakest link and IIRC they're good for 400bhp if not more.

Driveline is my next biggest problem, 5 Speed gearboxes start becoming a problem around 250-275ft-lbs. A 6 speed swap is £350 or so and are happy upto somewhere around 300-350ft-lbs.

The aim is keep peak torque around the pre-broken 250ft-lbs but carry it closer to 7200rpm

Soldering is easy, getting the new microswitch assembly and faffing about? Faff. For £5 I can get a new fob PCB fully made and ready to pair inside the car, in fact I just did that :p
So you've put a non-genuine PCB in? Might as well be a 316d now :p

It's a genuine BMW ///M keyring

A new microswitch is <£1. People are just too lazy these days! Your cheap Chinese PCB will most likely die after one year anyway!

This was a cheap Chinese PCB anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'll give it a few months. I could do with a spare OEM key anyway. OEM keys are waterproof and all that.

Took my car to the garage for new alternator belt, fitting of a new aux radiator and also oil filter and oil change. Annoyingly the S4 makes it impossible to change the alt belt without taking the whole front of the car off, or I'd have done it myself.
