What have you done to your car today?

I follow the instructions for the care balm which, IIRC, is just massage in and then buff off with a clean cloth. The seats are quite slippery for a few days after - not a problem, makes it easier to get in and out of the car if anything, I just thought that it might have the same effect on the wheel. I tend to avoid using any sort of "product" on the wheel, gear stick or handbrake lever just in case it has the same effect, I just give them a good wipe with a clean, damp cloth or maybe some all purpose cleaner.

Maybe try it on the bottom of the wheel or something to see how it feels? worst case scenario any decent cleaner should get rid of it. I've used all kinds of steering wheel etc and none really make a big difference bar some interior wipes that I have which result in a sticky wheel/knob :D

Bought a new £83.50 Yuasa battery for the FD2. Yes, I know I could have got a cheaper Halfords one but I can't bring myself to have a Halfords battery on my car. I also know I could probably get a cheaper one online however I said this three weeks ago, the first time I had to jump start the car. Still never ordered one and the car wouldn't start last night so straight to Halfords. I'll get round to fitting it at some point!

All 4 wheels refurbed and new tyres fitted

Done by the wheel specialist in Nottingham . Wasn't any damage but previous paint finish wasn't wearing well

@Rotty Not sure if you saw my other post, but what did you think to the work done by the wheel specialist Nottingham? I am considering them to get my wheels refurbished and wondered if you could let me know your thoughts on them?

Almost had an RTA :( front brakes locked on and then one released and sent me into a spin doing 50+,:( the car got recovered and taken to the garage where it had to have new cal's, disks, pads, hose line and new brake fluid.
And the best part, bang went my Xmas savings I had put away. :(:(:(

I'll be taking my 640d to BMW to check the uneven wear in one of the rear brake discs and ask why they failed to correctly clip in the pad wear sensor cable which caused it to be gradually cut and finally trip the warning on the way to work the other day.

It wasn't like that when I dropped it in for a service a month ago!

had a great morning.. hit a pothole and bent the rear rim and popped the tyre :(

call to RAC and final result is £225 for fixing the bent rim and new tyre + a temp style 32 borrowed from the tyre shop.

lovely.

Spent the last few days getting to grips with the dyno. Had to sort out the a fuel pump low voltage issue on the supra as I was being limited on fuel.

Managed to get the ignition dialed in on the safer side of things for the moment and got the following

367 HP & 387 Ft.Lbs @ the wheels
431 HP & 455 Ft.Lbs @ the flywheel

Sitting at 86% duty cycle on my 440 injectors currently. Which is about the safe limit for hard driving.

Next up bigger injectors and a borg warner turbo
