Got my Elephant renewal through the other day... £636. Significantly more expensive than last year.

No thanks.

After being with Elephant for some 15 odd years, it's time to move on.

Did a confused.com quote and Quotemehappy came back with £351 which had a discount for confused.com members. There's no way Elephant were going to match that quote.

Got quoted happy.

Elephant will price match. I left them this year and they would price match my new quote. I chose not to stay with them though.

Hmm I'll see what they say again tomorrow as lines have been closed last 2 days. Doubt I'll stay though unless they match it exactly, which in the past they could not get the exact same price, just slightly higher but out of convenience I stayed.

Well the lady on the phone to me said they do price match. The quote they generally send out for renewal is auto generated.

Why are you using Elephant? I thought you'd be going through a specialist broker.

Elephant suck, their customer service is dire.

Funnily enough specialists like Sky could not get close to my Elephant prices all these years, hence why I just stuck with them for so long. Also, customer service in my experience has been excellent for the times I have had to call them up. Maybe I've been lucky.

Nope Elephant could not match quotemehappy. Funny how they kept asking me "how does that sound" every time they went back too make a minor adjustment and quoted the new price

I parked my Corolla in a really empty part of the car park to avoid such incidents (cos unbelievably, it has no car park dings yet!) and some Quashqai ****er parked next to me before I'd got out, so I moved again.

I hope it sent them a message.
