You running 500 on stock internals or did you've any engine work done?
Engine parts like bearings/rings/seals etc all refreshed, otherwise running stock pistons/rods.

Took my leaky sunroof out, if it's going to leak, may as well do it properly..

It'll just have been the seal(s) and alignment of the sun roof, maybe blocked drains which need a blow out from an air line, removing mechanism is a bit drastic.
Tbh, that’s nothing related to sunroofs, more just the “joy” of running a French car!I’ve always been put off having a sunroof since having a couple of Clios in my youth. Each one leaked from the same place, covering my lap on tight corners.... and each one I snapped the handle several times and had to get replacements from the scrappy!
It's not the seal. I sealed it shut as I thought it was that, nope still leaked. Doesn't have drains as it's a non sunroof car with this aftermarket POS added in.
It's leaking in from the NSF corner, where it was no longer sealed to the skin of the roof.
Position the sunroof skin and tack weld metal plates in from underneath to hold it in place (or drill the sunroof lip and roof lip and bolt it in place) then weld the ******* in, remove the tack welded supports, grind, filler, sand, paint. No sunroof.
Or fit Open Air sunroof from a Polo.
