What have you done to your car today?

It's not the seal. I sealed it shut as I thought it was that, nope still leaked. Doesn't have drains as it's a non sunroof car with this aftermarket POS added in.

It's leaking in from the NSF corner, where it was no longer sealed to the skin of the roof.

Ah, assumed it was a OEM one as they can leak but it's down to maintenance really rather than design.

If yours was a solid roof car from the factory then I'd be inclined to source a roof skin and return it to standard.

No sadly not, my old one leak due to blocked drains. This was fitted by VW as an optional extra at the dealership, I found it on the spec sheet hidden under the boot carpet :(

I would but the rest of the car is far from standard, as above, if i'm going to all that trouble i'd put an open air sunroof in.

Did some reading and found plenty of complaints of knocking caused by using Meyle rear top mounts. That'll be the same part I installed last year and I've been chasing a knock since, then?

OEM parts are now ordered

One of the intercooler pipes on my TDI decided to partially pop off yesterday, cue moderate loss of turbo and hissing (common problem on the Golf's)... So spent an hour or so this morning doing a bit of a bodge repair with cable ties to put it back together (most of it was removing & reinstalling the undertray), apparently with strong cable ties it's meant to last but it does need a replacement clip and possibly a new pipe in the future.

Then to top it off one of the main beam bulbs blew as well, thankfully a 5 minute swap out if that.

Liam.

For the time and hassle £75 on insurance is a ton easier. Z4s are a pain in the rear because you've gotta get them positioned right or you get wind noise (Well more than normal)

Is it still £75 for a passenger window? In my head I thought that was windscreen only, and that other glass was a lot more expensive due to being less commonly replaced (Happy to be wrong as never needed anything other than Windscreens replaced)
