What have you done to your car today?

Those look lovely, I need another set of wheels for the M3 to put some sticky tyres on for dry track days. :)

Cheers. Can't believe how light they are, weighed them and with tyre they're 18.5kg. The tyre alone weighs 11.3kg!

Got my 'new' Rays refurbed this weekend. Really pleased with the results.

Need to order spigots and nuts, get the suspension sorted and then they can go on.
Nom Nom :D What are they going on?

I just received a new gear knob and boot surround for my 307. Should be fun trying to remove the old knob. Having watched a YouTube video, it's probably going to take a lot of brute force to pull it off.

Further to this, I've now got the new one fitted. But the plastic frame at the bottom of the gaiter bag wouldn't clip down into the console surrounding the gearstick. Turns out the two front clips of the frame were a different shape, much thinner. Fortunately I hadn't yet thrown away the old one. I removed both bags from their frames (released 8 clips from 8 small holes on the bags, very easy) and put the new bag on the old frame. Now it's all clicked securely into place.

I'm 20 and don't know what he's on about either. :p

Pahaha! Taking a punt on lowering? If so - yes, have a set of Eibach springs ready along with a pair of camber bolts and a headlight adjuster. Everything is good to go, just need to save up to pay for t all to be fitted now lol!

"needs lows" = "It requires some form of suspension modification to lower the ride height of the car, so that it properly suits its new wheels."

Its not that cryptic you old fart! :p ;)

But don't get it too low, keep it usable. :p

25mm is the plan. Going from 17 to 18” adds 5mm in height so only an actual 20mm drop, but arches should be filled in nicely. I suppose I’ll see when it’s done, but hoping it’s enough without it being unusable as a daily.

Had the ZT remapped. 114 to 160bhp.

Had a few starting issues recently which after investigating, turned out to be an immobiliser module which had been sitting in a few mm of water. Sent the ECU and keys off to have a new immobiliser unit coded and while it was away, asked the guy to flash the XPower 160 map. There are 2 versions of the ZT diesel, 114 and 135bhp, both being absolutely identical in spec bar software so the 160 map will go onto both without issue.

It's a heavy car with an old automatic gearbox so it's never going to set the world alight, but as my daily driver it was seriously lacking. The map has made it a much nicer car to drive. It's not too peaky, even though I love a good torque kick, and is smoother off boost. Only cost me £50 because the guy already had the ECU and it was definitely money well spent. I had a brief encounter with a tuning box which in comparison, was a waste of time.

Put a new tune on the truck, took power from 216WHP to 238WHP and improved the driveability(sp?) substantially, it's a real pleasure to drive it now.

Also washed it Friday, covered in oak pollen on Saturday... giving up washing until the trees stop having sex.
