What have you done to your car today?

They're probably not actually that bad in snow given the mid engine and lightness (if the ground clearance works), if hindered a bit by tyre width...albeit I can understand why you wouldn't want to be running around in it

Used to get some surprised looks using the MR2 in snow

Popped everything back together, turbo on, intercooler back, tightened up gearbox, rerouted some wiring loom, popped a single driveshaft on as I lost too much feeling in my fingers to do both.

Hasn't looked like a car for the past 2 months.

I also just bought a 2.5" Trackslag exhaust.

What gearbox have you gone for? I have just had a AMK engine fitted in my golf with the MK4 GTi box but I think it's a bit short on the gearing due to smaller wheels on the mk2's

Was driving like 15 maybe 20mph on 6th january. Was -1or -2 and ice started catching on road. Anyhow kid jumped on street in front of ibiza and since i was on downhill slid in to rear of it. On seat.... Rear bumpers plastic bit broke off. On car of my dreams it was second hit on front left corner... Whole front got shattered. My spoon carbon boned bent in half bumper both lamps and whole front support bent in like butter.

Dc2 just had full new cooling system. 500 miles on new exedy clutch after i finished rpc off in... 15 000 brand new stoptech brakes 2000 miles on pilot sports....

Well it was Proper exhaust that cost me almost 2300 quid. Mugen header 200cell cat and spoon n1 rest. 101 decibels messured. Just below 102 db donington limit haha

Just wait till i put this hks copy on 350z with decats. I hope it gets it to 100db. Got cobra catback atm.... Waaaayyyyyy toooo quiet for me. Need to get it to at least 95db hope can get some flames on downshifts hehe.

350Z is going on **** it budget copies project. Dumping all my money on Integra iw not been on holidays over 10 years. Cause with 15k a year wage its car or everything else. Car always comes first even if i need to live on pot noodles.

Quoted for truf
Since I dont/cant have family or close relationships with My rare condition. I get very attached to cars I own. After Integra incident had to go back on antidepresants and therapy to pull myself together. I'm spending with my cars more time than with Humans FACT.

Well my R8 has been with Tamworth Audi for 2 days for a full service + brake fluid change and some small items I needed checking. One of these was a faint whine I have mentioned previously I have had from the transmission. Well today I got the call...."Mr Housey, your R8......it's going to need a new gearbox". So of they go to Audi Warranty and there I sit waiting. The Man From Del Monte...he say yesssss!!

So brand new gearbox on order, big job, £20K of which I pay £100 excess.

Tried to fetch it got stuck on drive in loaner so given up and now drinking coffee.

The difference between Stoke Audi (TERRIBLE) and Tamworth Audi (GOOD) has been stark. Stoke simply have no idea what good service looks like, none. Tamworth do and get how precious us R8 types are so when they say they will do X at Y we expect them to do X at Y. Stoke just never got that or why I was angry at them for not doing anything they said they would do or taking 3 days to fix something Tamworth did in 1 hour. The whine has been there the 3 times it went into Stoke Audi...I asked them about it each time....nothing,

It's not just R8 owners - I get very annoyed when my local Audi dealer misses deadlines and doesn't inform me (which has been every time I've used them so far....) and I drive a 12 year old A6. There's absolutely no excuse for bad service from any main dealer, no matter what your car is.

So why to **** did You rang me if its not done :S

Reason I do what I can myself. At lest can only blame myself

100% car is irrelevant

Do it yourself?

Trailing arm rubber bush bonding deteriorated resulting in excessive movement both sides.

Requires special tool and 4 hours labour. The most I've ever done is fit a K&N filter and some service stuff. No idea on how to do anything else. Plus no tools and it's Baltic out there.

I'd love to do anything myself but the reality is I suck at most things and have no patience and also how on earth would I know I've done it right. The next time I drive it could all fall apart at 70 on motorway with my kid in the car.
