What have you done to your car today?

Found a nail in the centre of one of the front tyres on my Range Rover Sport: I was alerted by the TPMS.

Does anyone know where the TPMS sensors are located in the wheel and how easy they are for a careless tyre fitter to damage? I’m having visions of taking it in to get repaired tomorrow and having to take the tyre off all over again next week to change the sensor. I’m sure I’ve heard before that the systems are very fragile but I’ve never had a car with them before so don’t know much.

Bit of a cosmetic mod for me today...new tail lights. I'd never really been that offended by the Lexus lights that I wanted to spend big money changing them. However an ex owner was selling a used pair of Valenti lights on the owners club, so I thought I'd treat myself. Very happy with them, they smarten up the rear end quite nicely :)

Bit dark, but I took a pic half way through installation as a comparison.

Saw you nab these on the 86OC Forums - I was slightly jealous of the price you got them for! :P

I'm patiently waiting in hopes some smoked ones pop up

@Conscript huge improvement!

Thanks gents. Yes, I think some others were interested, but were after the sequential version. I wasn't too bothered by that, so they were fine for me. Just washed the car and took another couple of pics in the daylight.

They are on the back of the valve inside the rim.

Thanks, that’s exactly where they were. Took it in this morning and they sorted it without damaging the valve. Charged me 3x more than the going rate due to the white face + premium car combo, but that’s still only £6 so it’s all good :D

Fitted an Aux port with a Connects2 kit and a female aux fascia thingy. Actually a bit of a PITA to install into the car but it works alright. :)

Would have preferred to just replace the head unit, but I would have lost my MPG readout / fuel computer which is part of the stereo display, and a good looking double din unit would have been considerably more than the £30~ these bits cost. :)

Decided to put the port there mainly because I have a spare trim to put it back to standard if I want to, and because I've already drilled a hole in it for the launch switch, aaaaand because its a convenient place for passengers to plug in.

That time of year again...

Still need to modify the cap for the winter wheels as the nuts are slightly longer than my old car meaning they don’t fit without modification. Doesn’t matter too much as they’ll be covered in even more grime inside 24 hour.;)
