What have you done to your car today?

Celsior is fixed after some rewiring and bleeding the cooling system.

E30 has gone off to have some work done, woke it from its 5 month slumber and it went off on a beavertail.

It's having the rear subframe dropped, and having new subframe bushes, disks, pads, handbrake shoes, hoses, backplates and wheel bearings, having a low mileage LSD fitted with new oil and a Z3M diff bushing, the exhaust is being re-made from the downpipe back to the backbox, the rear panel is being welded, and its having a general oil and filter service.

Drag radials baby!

275/40/17

It's what everyone runs on these, smaller wheel = more acceleration. Also these radials are substantially cheaper in 17s

I run 265/35/20 everyday

Ah yeah 6% smaller. >4cm shorter overall.

Drag radials are an interesting sort of tyre. I guess the idea is that you can drive to the strip with them on rather than having to swap wheels in the pits.

And I'm English, but I have to assimilate :p

Although, what's the English term for drag radials? just 'tyres'? Never thought about it!
Isn’t the word “radial” pretty redundant unless of course you are drag racing something old enough that someone might assume it’s running cross ply tryes?

Another wheel speed sensor has failed! I thought perhaps it was the rear right as I recently replaced the rear left but running a diag it turns out it's the rear left! I was told a wheel speed sensor is a simple item, it only has one basic job and that's to relay the magnetic signal it takes off the reluctor ring on the shaft. But turns out eBay sensors may not be up to the task at all. Sensors from BMW are about £60 each which I know is a rip, the eBay one was £15 which is reasonable as they go as low as £7.

So this time I looked on AutoDoc who typically only have German/Italian components and I found Stark branded ones for £30 a pair whereas other places want £26 for just one. Arrived today and definitelys eems high quality.

And once again that time of year to replace wiper blades. I did get the flat Alca ones few months back and whilst they are great at town speeds, they are once again useless at motorway speeds due to lift. So back to OEM which also look better on the arm. Surprised ECP still sell these as an exact fit for the E46 really as buying from anywhere else and the fitment is not the same. E46 OEM blades need to be specific for these arms, Halfords ones even when Bosch just don't fit properly for example.
