What have you done to your car today?

Not by me per se but a good start has been made on restoring my Evo 9GT

Those with an eagle eye will spot the surprise of a cracked transfer case. Oh joy :(

Washed it, but just a couple of rounds of autofoam. Coolant is on minimum which surprised me, but it goes in for a service in a couple of weeks.
We are still on a hosepipe ban in Cornwall got to go across bridge to Plymouth to wash car at friends, of course if you wish for a car wash place to wash it they are open in Cornwall

Hi thanks, do you know I never seen that cheers, though for some reason I can fill my hottub if I want it has a exclusion clause, but anyone with a pool or padding pool cannot fill them.
I am away working but I will tell the wife she can use the pressure washer to wash the cars, I am sure the response will be pleasant

Cleared an engine code, CTS might need replacing, will see if the light comes back on.
Think there might be an airlock in the coolant system somewhere, gave the pipes a squish around the other day to see what was getting hot and since then its dropped from the max to the min mark on the expansion bottle, topped it up and the heaters are blowing hotter now so have to see how that goes..

Seagull decided to fly into the windscreen :( I slowed right down it was hovering above the road but it turned towards me & its claw or beak caught the bottom of the centre windscreen causing a 2-3mm chip to appear

Seagull was ok it flew off but now I have to decide if I can get the chip repaired before it spreads or new windscreen time (which would be very costly as it has heater elements & rain sensors plus I understand you have to buy the OEM screen not accept the cheap replacement clones as the OEM is much stronger).

Can anyone recommend a decent DIY kit or is it best to just get a mobile pro to come do it?

You not got windscreen cover on insurance?

Yes I have to £350 its not about the cost its about the hassle! Renault OEM is the only replacement worth getting...that means an RS Master Technician needs to be on hand as the screen contains sensors & heating elements its not just a remove & replace job! They have to go into the ECU to adjust. Takes 3-6 weeks to get the part from France they do not carry stock on these in the UK at all! (same for most RS parts few are UK instock items....).

I have booked a mobile technician to see if they can fill the damage with the resin they use to stop it spreading & getting worse.

Just changed the centre console from gloss black to black ash open pore wood. Managed to pick up a brand new complete C63 console for a pretty good price, only downside is that it also required the media panel with the clock.
Luckily managed to find one for the correct year without the cd player slot and also found a brand new clock too! (Couldn't justify the AMG tax on the IWC clock as have managed to do all this for under £250, prob have to pay that again for the clock alone)
I didn't want a car with gloss back console if possible but also not a deal-breaker as I knew it could be changed if needed. This one was in the colour scheme I wanted so this was a fairly easy change to do.
Before (not my car as forgot to take a picture)

Would love to do this to mine as I have the ash along the dash itself but the centre console is gloss black. Scratches like hell, and is dangerously reflective.
