My 1995 Toyota Celica hasn't been re-gassed since I have owned it (2012) and still blows extremely cold to the point it is the coldest aircon I have. "They don't make them like they used too"
Just had my Saab and Suzuki re-gassed however as they last about 1-2 years before needing doing.
The pipe pointed at by the red arrow goes to the waterpump inlet, the 90°Afternoon,
Today I narrowed a coolant leak down on my MX5 to these two pipes. I believe someone has tried bodge it previously given the standard of jubilee clips. Now it only leaks when under load, Ive put two arrows on the pipes because I’m not 100% sure where they go. I believe some folks on here have experience with the MX5.
Mine is a MK2 1.8. The pipe with the yellow arrow I believe goes from the throttle body to thermostat so haven’t got the full picture but the other with the red arrow I have no clue. Thermostat to where?
Cheers for thatThe pipe pointed at by the red arrow goes to the waterpump inlet, the 90°
bend on them almost always fails at some point in it's life

Had my front windscreen changed finally!
£1100 approx total cost though which is a bit eye opening
£672 for the actual OEM screen (trade price)
£4 for the OEM rubber shims
£120 petrol to go collect the screen from the supplier as they said no courier could be trusted to deliver with no damage so had to make a 330 mile round trip...
£300 for 2 qualified fitters to come do the job
Autoglass wanted £2500 for the windscreen via Renault + 4 hours to do the job (2 hours to fit plus 2 hours to recalibrate the ADAS sensors in the screen....)!
My 2 experienced technicians took 15 mins to remove the old damaged screen then only 20 mins or so to fit the new one! no need to recalibrate the ADAS sensors as OEM 1:1 like for like replacement
The thing is no way am I ever letting them have my car for 4 hours & that includes 2 hours to drive on their own & recalibrate the sensors....that just ain't ever going to happen.....most insurance companies will ONLY pay for the cheap made in china glass autoglass want to lumber you with! When like I insisted on OEM the price was £2500 LOL for a trade price £672 windscreen (which I had to go collect myself!).When this happened to my Golf GTD - Like most I want things to be right and looked into the OEM Route but as above the costs are just eye watering for what it is.
I took the £115 Excess route…
Happy I did as the Windscreen was, well a windscreen and all the sensors worked as they did before.
Auto Lights, Wipers, Adaptive Cruise, Emergency Braking etc.
That's exactly why I refuse to let anyone else drive it! I now do most things myself apart from main dealer oil services every 6 months or so...never selling the car so not bothered about resale values either! but will keep it OEM all over as most of the OEM spares are good quality!Agreed it’s nice to have OEM - In my situation it just wasn’t worth the cost and if someone etched a fake VW badge on the glass I ended up with, I would have never known
Fair play going to the lengths you have to ensure the replacement is like rolling off the production line.
Major downside to having such car is if anyone else gets to drive it they are 100% going to drive it like a rental.

I could have even replaced the screen myself its quite easy to do but happy to let the pros do it instead and 2 of them meant it took way less time & they did a more thorough job as double checking each others work at every stage!
The glass on mine is apparently a special low acoustic noise variant
