What have you done to your car today?

Either pump failing with the motor initially trying to spin and failing or something getting sucked in blocking the pipe or inlet then dropping back once you stop trying to use them.

Makes sense - doesn't look too hard to get at either, just a case of taking the arch liner out and then the pump can be pulled straight out. It's got a small filter that the inlet sits in, so i'll check that. Failing that I think a 2nd hand pump is <£10

I'll see how tired I am later, if not it'll be a job for the weekend

Started to freshen up the headlights on the Ovlov.

The shape of the lens made it a little difficult, it's not as smooth and round as it appears. I also underestimated how deep it went, I ran out of sanding pads in the Autoglym product I used so they're not perfect but in the flesh in daylight it's a million times better than before.

I'll give it another go at some point but happy for now.

Had the wheels shotblast, powder coated then lacquered. New centre caps & Michelin MP4S (*rated) tyres fitted.
Just need to fit them back on the car now :D

I know Grey is not everyone's cup of tea but they suit the car IMO & I like them!

Refurbishing wheels to get the missus car ready for sale.

First time using 2K with a compressor and it is a million times better than using cans. Will leave them overnight to harden then put fresh wheel weights on. (That is what the purple tape is for so I locate them in the correct place).

Stripping down to bare metal (paint stripper + wire wheels on air tools) was the biggest pain in the backside and took the vast majority of time but please with how they have come out.

Tyres came in at £938 which unfortunately I missed out on the 15% discount Kwikfit are currently offering as I'd ordered them a few weeks ago.

Centre caps & M sport decals were £92 from BMW

All in I think it's come in under £1300 which I'm happy with.

That's some expensive tyres!

Ah makes a little more sense now. I was quoted £320 for 18" refurb but that includes cost of tyre fitting and balancing.
