What have you done to your car today?

Im not involved with any mx5 owners clubs no.

I got back to the UK about 6 weeks ago after some extensive traveling and I've clearly picked up a few things. Ill start calling football soccer soon to wind more people up :P

Got a few friends with MX5's and as such am a part of mx5 'circles'. I have never heard any of them refer to the car as a Miata, ever.

This.

Its the same thing anyway, as is an enous roadster. In my circles is more commonly refereed to as a miata and pretty well known as such. imo it's a more affectionate name and better suits the car.

*Eunos* Roadster is different as we have a fair amount of Japanese imports here and they are as such.

There aren't any american imports over here that i'm aware.

Miata sounds terrible on a car that already has image problems.

Replaced the disks and pads on the back and the pads upfront. Adjusted the headlights as they were ridiculously low too. Just need to clean it but it looks like a bug graveyard so maybe tomorrow!

In keeping with the Miata...Sorry MX5 theme

I stripped the front end to offer up my intercooler to work out how I'm going to mount it and what route the pipework is going to need to take

Had my cam belt and auxiliary belt changed the other day. Took the cover off to look at the cam belt today But compared to the auxiliary belt the cam belt looked dull and worn. The auxiliary belt the writing on it is bright white with the belt being shiney black.

Just me being paranoid probably but just not sure if its new. should have looked before taking it in I suppose. What you folks think.

Thanks to some help help Atari, I've now flashed a modified DME and have manual gearbox shift lights, de-restricted 6th gear and oil temp warning lights to match the CSL lights.

Pretty sweet.

Lights now match the oil temp:

This novelty might wear off soon, or then again it might not...

Had a childish moment (slowest drag race ever) with a friend in a 1.25 Fiesta at some traffic lights...

We were neck and neck until we stopped playing... Quite embarrassing for him considering the fact that his car has 20HP more than mine and is supposed to get to 60 about 3 seconds quicker. Think he needs to work on his gear changes. :p

Some cars need to be absolutely abused to get anywhere near a quoted 0-60 time - you'll also find you need a significant power advantage to actually pull away from someone so it's not particularly surprising that an 80bhp rotbox is much in line with a 60bhp one

My sidelight went a week or so back, no idea what bulb it should be as Mustangs don't usually have side lights. It was tucked right in, underneath the wing, so I was thinking the whole bumper might need to come off.

In the end I've managed to pull it out with some needle nose pliers... but the bulb shattered as I did so.

A quick trip to Halfords and a T10 bulb is back in place.

I did lose the centre bit of one of these though...

Is there a specific name for them? The chap at Halfords couldn't help :(

Lee1011. Cheers, been waiting ages for some time off and hot sun to go with it. It is my partners car but we both felt a bit chavvy with the stripes on (old age kicking in :p)

Can see there has been stripes on it and you can see where I have rubbed the residue off. Down side to having a black car.

A week or 2 in sun and then a good polish with a wax and it'll look 100% again.

Tell you what though, nowt to do with removing the stripes. I'll never have another black car in this family again. Already sick of trying to keep it clean. I got some weird ocd where I like to keep both cars looking mint on the driveway. So I am forever cleaning the fiesta...
