Yes it's very ironic calling people "full of ****" and then getting upset when someone questions your mental state when you used the R word in a previous post.

Same - 26th of July for both cars.
Already got an actual real quote from my current insurer just awaiting the hilarious renewal. The way they go about renewals annoys me so much, but Admiral are so consistently cheap that I can never bring myself to actually go somewhere else.
This could be the year though......maybe
The first part of this was incredibly hard for me to read despite just a little typo, dunno why! I got some alignment re-done for free last month after the guy needed to order in shims for the rear for me. This shouldn't really be a surprise I guess but given how most garages are I fully expected him to at least charge me for the fitting of the shims so was quite pleased when he didn't want a penny.

I think it's just an example of the evolution of how words are used - especially with influence from the US. The internet means car communities are far more connected than ever before and terms tend to come over as a result.
To most people who have grown up knowing nothing other than the internet, the term 'delete' is synonymous with 'get rid of'. Yes its wrong, yes it's incorrect but you can see the logic - you want rid of a file, you delete it. You move on to cars and want rid of a DPF... see what I mean?
It originally comes from the latin 'deletus' which meant, among other things:

Agreed, that is another pita!
You guys do realise even dealers also use the word delete? When buying a new car you can opt for "designation delete" - The madness in this is that there's nothing to delete, since the car has not been made yet there isn't a badge on it to "delete"!
