Ironically enough, I was just reading last night that the most common MOT failure in Belgium is badly adjusted headlightsThere will be a twist knob (or a knob to poke a cross head driver into) on the back of the headlight to adjust the beam height. Bit of a bummer they failed it though, such a simple thing for them to adjust. My local MOT place adjusts the beam as needed if it's out of legal spec and carries on with the MOT.
That makes sense. ThanksNot sure on your setup but mine can be adjusted behind the headlight with an allen key.
I'd have though if the load sensor was faulty both lights would be either low or high.
Just been to have a look at the unit - had I known it was so simple I would've tried to fix it there and thenIt just saves lots of faff and finding time to go back for a re-test though for what is essentially twisting a knob a couple times left or right until the beam is aligned to their alignment wall, which is why I like places like that, they have your back![]()
The MOT stations are purely testing stations. No work is carried out there at all. However, when you come back for a retest, they only check the thing that failed.
Washed the coffee off the TT, not sure if someone threw it on there on purpose or not!
I put a large Starbucks hot chocolate on my car roof before while I got something out of the back, turned around to it all pouring down the door and windscreen, melted marshmallows and cream too.
At least if that happens you can only be angry with yourself- that could be a pain to wash off depending on where it all goes!
Booked my SLK in for her first service today now that I know the dates that I will move house.
2 new 'rear cylinders'?
Somet my mrs would say.
Do you mean the cylinders in the brake drums?
Prefer the after not a huge fan of the sparkle or that awful plate however.
