What have you done to your car today?

Gave it a much needed wash. Don't worry, to ensure that the car stays gleaming I made sure to spend a few hours before leafleting all residents in a 1 mile radius warning them about putting bread out for any of the birds, and to make them aware of the consequences should they refuse to cooperate.

Topped up the washer fluid, dropped the cap of the bottle down behind the radiator, where it's now sitting on the undertray.
Fantastic.

Only a mile? Braver man than I.

Tackled the brakes today. New discs and pads. Anyone who has worked on a clio 197/200 will know how **** the brake pad pins are to remove from the 4 pots. I spent 4 hours on just the fronts. New brembo discs and pads and pin kit.

20 minutes a side to swap the pads and discs, the rest of the time was spent removing the pins and removing the disc screws. Never sodding again. I'm actually looking forward to doing the rears as it should be so simple.

On the other hand, nice shiny brakes that I know are meant for the car, not cheap Chinese **** that the last owner put on. I really need to get some more brake cleaner and attack the calipers. Not very clean but at least all the pins are now free and can be removed easily.

Bull bars!

Cleaned 12 years of bum grime out of my seats as sprucing it up for sale, once it's fixed. Again. Crap car  but at least the seats look like new now! Top job with Woolite :)
