What have you done to your car today?

Anyone come across a QuickCharge 2.0/3.0 car charger that's flush fit like the Aukey one? I have yet to come across anyway. My lighter socket is covered by the ashtray door, but I'd prefer to just keep the charger permanently in there for convenience.

Doesn't e46 have always on cigarette lighter? My z4 does even when the engine is off and car is locked the lighter stays on. Wouldn't leaving it in suck the battery??

I've left a similar flush fit charger (kensington 2A one) in my e46 for the last two years and had no problems with a dead battery even after going on holiday for a fortnight.

AFAIK no power will be used if there is no draw on it.

My Polo was always on, and I think the Octavia is too. I left a USB adapter plugged into both of them with a cable coming off of it.

Fair enough. All the chargers I have got an led that's always on. Doubt it'll do much but hey. Ordered one too, like how flush that is.

No, but I did go down there the day they were doing it, absolutely moronic and causing chaos. I had to swerve to avoid hiting one on the wrong side of the road. In hindsight I wish I didn't now. I'd be fine with them doing it if they closed the road and gave warning etc

It amazes me that in a world where half the well sighted, open and clear NSL A roads are now 50 limits that Cheddar gorge is basically NSL from the first corner!

Just wait until the local busybody Councillor starts his campaign to get it reduced to 30mph.

tbh I struggled to get above 40 anyway.

Ah yes there we go:

On this occasion its hard to argue really, it seems clear from all the tyre marks that there are regular occasions of people being absolutely stupid and therefore they'll spoil it for everyone.

As I understand it, those marks happen when the gorge is actually at it's quietest in terms of sheer numbers of people but yeah, bunch of morons. Most of the tyre marks are there due to young morons doing the maccy d's cruises and thinking it's cool to act like a moron at 2am etc. Loads of instances of the police having to be there at night on the weekend due to the morons.

People do drive like utter cretins through the gorge though, especially if they see some other mildly interesting car there. I actually have found the gorge to be quite boring when it comes to driving it due to all the cyclists you meet. If I want roads like it, I much prefer many of the other roads in the local vicinity to the gorge, not quite as twisty but much more empty and enjoyable for it.

I've come around a corner in the gorge near one of the car parks to a guy in an Audi A4 doing a burnout in front of a huge car meet. Must've been about 2pm as well..

It is still one of my favourite roads, but I tend to tackle it much later at about 10pm-1am. 0 Traffic or cyclists, or drift trikes, which I've yet to see.

Fair. I've only ever heard of that sort of idiocy in the evening / at night, I have seen some stupid driving during the day but never the level of doing burnouts etc.
I tend to avoid going to meets at the gorge due to the potential for morons, sometimes got there on my own but do tend to avoid it now.
