What have you done to your car today?

Have you sprayed your centre caps silver also? If so, they need some colour on them. Maybe original caps?

The center caps are silver with hand painted accents... There is a new wheels thread below that shows what I did with the centers. The caps are a rarity in that they are the original metal caps, I wont replace them as they are like hens teeth.

For the BMW wiper situation I wouldn't bother with all that faffing about drilling. Just get a angle grinder with a 6cm disc on the nut and wack it with a cold chisel till it cracks. Would most likely be quicker than it took you to write that post!

Remapped today by Chris @ EFI. Really pleased with the power results even though that wasn't my real aim, I wanted the rough running and flat spots ironing out which has been done, throttle response was also sharpened up and rev limit raised a further 200rpm to 7700 :)

Ordered a new keyless entry fob (as it only came with one) via a main dealer but have to wait for my V5 to come through before they'll program it... even though it explicitly states on the V5 that it isn't proof of ownership. They said the invoice and receipt for the car from the dealer wasn't proof that I'd bought it.

Fixed and re-assembled the poxy skoda finally. Ended up replacing the clips with the type you tighten up with a spanner.

Fitted the 15" BBS to the E30, they look maaaaad. Totally transform it. :)

Yeah Chris' work is really good, friendly service too - I'll definitely go back if I need another map in future.

Couldn't agree more. Organised a rolling road day with him in the past and everyone that attended had nothing but praise for EFI.

I'm looking at renting the rollers for some live mapping for mine in the future.

Fitted my BC coilovers / panhard rod and basic alignment.....What a difference, car handles great with barely any body roll and under steer. Still have anti-roll bar, anti-lift kit and polybushes to do next month, the car can then be set up and corner balanced.

Is there a treatment or finish I can put on the inside of my exhaust tips?

The tips get extremely hot, and in winter weather conditions the dirt gets baked onto the inner tip walls. Unless I wipe them after every long journey, then wiping the crap away is very difficult, so I end up having to elbow grease them away with Autosol.

I'm wondering if there is some kind of protection I can apply so that this isn't an issue any longer?

My tips are polished stainless steel. And I can see why some people opt for black gloss tips on other models.

Not the inside that can't be seen of reached you donut :P

The inside wall which is openly visible:

Oh Robbie. Are you asking how you can keep the INSIDE of your exhaust tips clean? :D
LMAO. More friction.

Seriously tho, you will never stop that even with a stainless steel exhaust.

Who cares anyway, it's not like anyone is ever going to be looking at your tip.

I don't think this is a problem people have. Happy to be proven wrong. :p

Have you thought about employing someone to ride around with you all the time, who cleans the exhaust tips whenever you come to a stop?

Sorry to go off topic, did you get the swapped 3 series in the end?

No, but I did get a factory 325i Touring manual. :)

Made a fair few posts about it in the last few pages or so. I'll put a thread up when I decide I can be bothered... :o :p

This is it, but it has the factory option 15" BBS basketweaves now.
