noob!
Not too warm, just tepid is enough and won't shock the windscreen in a typical British winter.. clears the screen instantly for me..
Thats what I've always done but didn't have time this morning to go back into the house.

4 new tyres fitted yesterday
MOT today - passed with 1 advisory (front pads)
Quite surprised given the feels, thought it would fail on a few things but nothing showed up. Means now I cam afford a full service and a potential bluefin remap. Nice

I popped in to Kwik Fit a few weeks ago for a free brake check. They reported that the front discs, pads were under legal limit. So thought that needed doing, it doesn't kwik fit crooks haha
Also reading on talkford about steering column issues with my year mondeo and steering did feel a bit odd but think that's now sorted cos tyres replaced.
Also thought exhaust was blown cos it needed some welding last year and they said it might not last long.
But clearly all ok really. Just sort front pads out asap and now get a full service too.
When have they not? Its an MOT failure.Discs and pads have a legal limit now?
How can they measure them accurately if they can't remove any parts from the car though? I've only ever been informed that "the pads are looking a little low" .
Had my wheels refurbed fairly cheaply by the same chap who did Phil W's a couple of weeks back. Can't fault it for the money as all 4 of my wheels were pretty battered I have to say and had been badly painted before. Car looks a lot more respectable now
