What have you done to your car today?

You want a good mix of beading and sheeting.

I find lots of beading a bit of a nightmare if you're parked up, the sun comes out after the rain and then your left with lots of little water spots.

You'll probably notice meguiars products actually promote water sheeting. E.g. After rinsing off gold class shampoo etc.

Awesome. Proper old school muscle car sound track right there.

I think its also got a big hint of AMG in it, it either throbs like an old school V8 or it just snorts like an angry AMG. Neither of which are bad things.

I think the Sport maybe had a nicer note, but it was only loud if I gave it some, whereas this has that lovely V8 throb when cruising along. :D

OK, this is a genuine question because I don't get it. Why do people post beading shots? Is it meant to be proof that they've waxed it? Or is it meant to show the quality of the wax because if it is the latter then have I just clayed, polished and waxed my boot with top quality products... or wiped a bit of colour magic on it?

The thing is, I'm a bit er, odd :p I don't like amber on the front, I don't like white on the back and I don't like the front and back being different so I'm kind of stuck :p

That and the fact that a set of clears is the wrong side of £50

Just setup the radio (my wifes old Alpine!) in the car. A completely pointless task as I never use it but I can't have it in there without the stations being set and the EQ fiddled with :o

I just like beads :D That is all. I'd probably say that your picture is likely high quality products but that's not to say that colour magic isn't good, but the beads look quite small, from colour magic after a bit of dirt I'd expect them to get larger. Comes from longevity too. But as @Blackhawk47 said it's about sheeting too. I'd have loved to post a clean picture but it started to rain just as I was packing up and by the time it was throwing it :(

e; Here you go, courtesy of cctv, albeit a not very good pic :p :

:D That was colour magic. The paint isn't perfect on the MX5 and I find that colour magic is forgiving with the imperfections.

I'm not against decent products and do use them myself but I find their benefit is more noticeable a week or more later. Pretty much anything looks good straight off the bat. The other one is the reflection shot. I inadvertently got some great reflection shots from my current company car after I'd run it through the car wash (£3 express cycle  ) two days prior and was documenting the dings and scrapes in it from the last keeper!

Yeah that's precisely it. That wax isn't cheap. But I know (hopefully they stop needing to salt the roads) it will last months. It took me about an hour I'd say to wax the entire car which I don't think is too bad :p

I'll hopefully get a nice photo tomorrow morning :p

I'd agree with this

Stick an AMG badge on it and you are sorted :D

Summer wheels out of the garage for a proper clean, sealed with protectant and also tried the new flat centre caps. New wheel nuts still to arrive then I will chuck these on in place of the winters.

Did a skid and the skid turned into crash up a curb. Pulling slightly to the left and bent the arch on the front wing slightly. Front wing now straightened to the point where you wouldn't know it had happened, having tracking done tomorrow... :p

Lesson learned. Don't try and show off when you have an open diff.

Lesson learned. Don't try and show off when you have an open difficulty. no car handling skills.

Fixed

:p

It was of course 100% down to stupidity. As someone mentioned to me before... Don't try to be a drift-king with an open diff because they are wildly unpredictable... I clearly thought I knew better, turns out that I don't, and thankfully the consequences were only minor. :)

Hahaha I know I know... Its not like my rep can get any worse though is it? :p

Funny thing is, I was on my way home from picking up a load of bits for it...

one of those things, live and learn.. that's why I'm not pushing my luck in the z4 yet, it is open diff so no point really.
