What have you done to your car today?

Took it for a new hood.

I'm really surprised by that but fair enough! :)

Something you are considering for future, or happy with it how it is?

for now I'm happy! If I wanted to drift I'd be getting an mx5 mk2 probably with an LSD and learn with that, cheap enough to fix if I do ditch it. Z4 drives/handles really well as is so for now I'll stick with and LSD might be a thing to do in the far future(depends how long I keep it) but knowing me, 2-3 years max :D

Only thing about the MK2 MX5 with an LSD is that it can be difficult to provoke a slide because of the lack of torque/overall power. You have to really want to get it in a slide... Scandinavian flick and a clutch dump required.

Probably because pre-1995 BMW's and M Power BMW's are the only ones that I find interesting. :p

I would have expected things like the Z4 3.0si and the 335i/335D etc to have LSD's though... Can you even option them with LSD's?

Did a skid and the skid turned into crash up a curb. Pulling slightly to the left and bent the arch on the front wing slightly. Front wing now straightened to the point where you wouldn't know it had happened, having tracking done tomorrow... :p

Lesson learned. Don't try and show off when you have an open diff.

This may (or may not - depending whos reading) be what Curborough is for :p

Why would you expect 335i/335d to have an LSD? They are not track focused sports cars at all and an LSD for everyday use isn't ideal. Even the M3's LSD is electronic so it can go from fully open to fully locked, meaning in almost all everyday situations is behaves like an open diff in all other regular BMWs.

I really want LSD :( cant really justify the price though, I guess I could get a spare diff and stick one in that, then swap and sell the LSD separately when coming to sell the car...

One for my E30 would set me back about £500 for a second hand unit, or about £700 for new parts + cost of re-building the diff with the new parts... :(

I need one really...

turbo it.

Any spare funds I might have to do things like that are now firmly aimed in the direction of the other car. :p

One day maybe, if I keep it long enough.
