What have you done to your car today?

Put four new tyres on, LCI indicators and de-badged it, the old run flats had about 6mm on them but this was how bad they were inside, zero TPMS warnings.....:(

How long was that flat for?!

No clue, clearly a while judging by the damage, rather glad I don't really do any mega mileage because if that had let go on a motorway I expect the results would be rather nasty! Annoyed at the complete lack of warnings, thought maybe the TPMS sensors had been removed by the previous owner but they were in place but clearly not working :(

Correct. Some monitor the pressures and tell you what they are, some monitor based upon all 4 and will tell you of a sudden change/vast difference between them.

Hardtop removed and into the garage.

Swapped from (relatively) grip free winter tyres back to the AD-08Rs, first time I've actually driven it with these tyres on since changing the suspension to the Ohlins. Soooooo good in the corners and over bumps now :)

Swapped the 16inch Japan Racing Wheels off the MX5 and put standard wheels back on for now. 16's are too big for the MX5. However it has made boost goodness a lot more lively! Two things would happen if this was a daily driver. 1st - Id be skint from the fuel bill. 2nd - Id have a driving ban! Driving down straight roads with the tail hanging out is addictive
!

Some 16's look alright as long as you pick the tyre size well, but I personally like deep 14"/15" wheels like RPF1's on an MX5 MK1/2 :)

Went past a speed camera van at around 55mph on a 40mph road (dual carriageway).

First speeding offence, so now anticipating a some points and a fine... Hopefully?

Had a bus pulled up in their bus stop. Car I was following had indicated left to pull off so I moved into the 2nd lane and picked up speed. Cleared the bus and saw the speed van. Look at my speed and it was around 55mph...Didn't even realise I was going that fast. No excuses though.

So yeah. :(

Might end up with a speed awareness course, but either way, hardly the end of the world.

Passed MOT with a few advisories (worn inner edge front tyres, nearing limit on front pads and play in driver's side track rod end) so have spent the last couple of weekends fitting new rods and ends on the front, new front pads and some new Goodyear F1 Asym 3s along with getting the tracking sorted.

The car definitely feels more planted on the short run I did so it looks like replacement bits were long overdue.

Not bad for a 19 year old Datsun though.

Drove my car to Mercedes-Benz, and test-drove an A45 AMG.

Only test drove for half an hour or so, but comfortable, really nice place to be, smooth, obnoxious blips in sport+(which I liked) and quick....It just...didn't feel anywhere near as quick as my bike :p So, a little underwhelmed but hey, it means i don't have to convince myself to not spend £45k on a car :p

Disclaimer: my bike is an SV650S, which in bike terms, isn't that quick. The A45, probably is quicker tbf, it loved accelerating from 30-90 or so (private road of course) but it just didn't give me any kind of funny feeling :(

Yes, I could do with changing the background colour on the Display!
