First I've heard of them cancelling a policy because of speeding. Must have been excessive speeding, quite often!

I could drive at silly hours, hoon it around, get wheelspin, lift off oversteer on roundabouts, do J-Turns in a car park, and even crash it into a tree and get it towed home without so much as a raised eyebrow from the insurance company.

Nothing wrong with lowering as long as long as it's a sensible ride height and doesn't bury the tyre into the arch. A subtle drop can make a really nice difference to a cars aesthetics.
