what headphones do you own thread - i own dt150's :)

Cheers sHo0sH ... that's my evening taken care of :)

Edit: having just read the reviews, am very much edging towards the 1964-Q's since I'm a total "bass head" and love my dance music with pretty much all else being played. A trip to the audiologist is definitely needed now :)

so my se425's just arrived... have to say atm im regretting buying them.

Took me about 10 minutes to get the damn things in and over my ears, then listened to them and they sound pretty terrible atm. But im hoping thats down to not having a proper seal, so I'm currently attempting to get the foam buds off...which is proving impossible and I'm really tryiong not to snap the nozzles which ive heard is easy to do.

so yeah not happy :(

going to try the freezer trick in a sec to see if that works.

Hmm my cheapy Shures don't sound too good either without a proper seal but they only cost me £40 something!

The foam buds seemed better than the rubbery ones they came with though! Long as you can get them down your ear. I can definitely be a bit tricky getting them off but as long as you don't try to wiggle them off you should be ok. Just need to slide them off slowly.

You definitely can't put them on that quickly but you soon get used to getting them over your ear and then it's easy enough as long as you've got both hands free :D

Sounwise... Well I hope your ones would sound a lot better :P What are you plugging them in to?

i cannot for the life of me get the foam buds off. mine came with foam ones already on and i literally cannot get them off. Tried the freezing trick - didnt work. they did rotate but then they went back to not rotating :/

yeh i hope so too :L only my phone atm but when i get a chance ill get them through my interface and listen to some higher quality stuff

^^ I mean when i eventually get these bloody sleeves off.

I am the opposite. I always prefer silicon ear tips to the foamies. I wouldn't write off your Shures just yet until you are 100% sure it isn't a fit issue causing the unpleasant sound.

yeah don't worry i'm not going to, I'm going to try the different sleeves first.

I just can't get the damn foamies off!

Yeah the foam buds have an inner rubber sleeve which sits on the earbud tube itself. I remember that being pretty hard to get off at first :/

If you can get your nails under there to push against the harder rubber part instead of pulling on the foam it does help. Once you get them off once you can lube them up a bit lol

I don't have any nails... :/

I asked my gf to do it, but she freaked and refused when i said they were worth nearly 300 quid and that she could break them :p
