What is in my garden?

I was discussing this thread with a friend today, he thinks it's quite likely it's a hedgehog. I'll direct him to the audio file to see what he makes of it (he appears to have experience with the creatures in his garden). Personally I still think it's a big cat...

That actually made me jump slightly!

Having said that I am willing to bet when you eventually see it it'll be around 9 inches long and covered in spikes, it sounds just like a Hedgehog.

I will take a look again in daylight

shouting, hand clapping etc and it stops for a sec then starts again. It is louder than the recording suggests

Ok well then get a DSLR and a large flash. Then you'll see for a split second what's going to be killing when you hear the noise suddenly getting louder.

Just make sure you write a note letting the police know to upload the image here after...
