What is in my garden?

funnily enough about ten years ago my house then backed onto a mountain, I heard noises very similar to this every night for 2 weeks late into the summer

one evening I got a mate around and we waltzed off to have a look, basically it was some homeless guy getting some shut eye he wasnt half putting them Z's away

I contemplated going to the chemist buying some snoring patches and attaching them to his nostrils but after another week or so he must have moved on

the noise was pretty much the same though
 
Well no answer from him.

Hes either been watching the football or locked himself in a room after the sight he saw when he turned on the 4 billion candle powered torch in the trees :D

i really don't want this thread to end, its like when i was at school and he got to the good point of the book, and it was the end of the lesson!
 
Stovies wife called me over earlier.

She said Stovie went out a couple of hours ago but hadn't come back, we went outside to have a look round and heard the noise he was talking about, I almost **** myself! :( Before we ran inside I found a mangled camera on the lawn with the card still intact. He managed to take a picture it seems before it got him.:(

It's really not hard to get out there with a big stick and a flash camera/torch.

i will never understand people who put grumpy or negative posts in a thread, surely the same principle applies to threads as to TV programs? if you dont like them, move on.:confused:


still, everyone's entitled to an opinion i guess.


back on topic:

the sound file sounds creepy as hell, let me run it through a couple of filters to see if i can isolate the back ground sound. will pop up what i have tomorrow in a link.
 
Aren't hedgehogs hibernating this time of year? Maybe that would explain why the breathing is slow and deep and why it's always there in the same place.
 
/boo for negative posting.

A lot of people seem to be suggesting its hedgehogs (which sounds sensible) but then others say they're hibernating at this time of year (probably true) but can't hedgehogs and the like skip hibernation?

Right deep breath.... My Mum was round looking after my kids whilst the wife was at work last night.
When I got home I heard it again... I then sent my Mum on her way, with me taking her to her car. She heard it as well, and didnt think it was a good idea to go into the woods on my own..

Anyway I did ;)

My uber torch is ace btw.. I went deeper into the woods than I had been before at night and heard the sound coming from near an ancient beech tree, so I moved slowly closer to it. Nothing, but I still heard it pretty close by.

I then started to scan the tree, but didnt see any eyes looking back.

I was quite deep into the woods by now and my torch started to fade:eek:

I then heard it coming from behind me, and my torch was fading fast!!!!!

I ran like the clappers back through the woods and up the hill

saying OMG OMG OMG several times

Safe inside I had a beer :D

I will charge at it tonight like an angry elephant

Tonight is the night I will find out what it is
 
This thread gets better and better! Although I think you're dragging the suspense out for literary effect.

Can't wait for tonight's instalment.

Can we give a thread more than 5 stars?
