What is the most you have spent on a game?

£120 on Escape From Tarkov

£150 on Star Citizen

Played about 20hours of tarkov, and about 20 mins of Star Citizen

And the last time i played either was about 2 years ago............

GTA V I have 3 accounts, one at launch for £39 then two more at £14 each

However.....

MS flight sim, Thousand's I would imagine on DLC/Hardwear over the years I was playing it.

Wowsers.... Are you serious? That is over £100 a month

it's a pay to win game. so the more you spend the better team you have. the better team you have the better chance of winning.

£5.6K over 3 years is pretty tame. there are guys out there who spend like £5K on launch day. then another £200 every week.

Counterstrike.

From 1.6 to CS:GO I've probably spent £120 on the game and skins. Easily 500+ hours of game time.

Probably spent around £300 on game and skins over 15 years. Got a £400 knife last week. so money back if i ever sell it.

However OP was taking into account PC upgrades, etc. If I was to include headphones, sound cards, monitors, pc upgrades, network upgrades, mousemats, etc. We could easily be talking £10K over 15 years.

World of Warcraft for me. 15 years of subs @ £9-10 PCM, Every X-pac as digital deluxe or CE, store pets, TCG Pets, and that's only me. Running a sub for my son so all the stuff again, but only ~5 years subs, and a third account for playing the AH. Terrified to work it out but I estimate roughly £2200 on subs alone. Add on ~8 expansions @ ~£45 a shot (x2) and there's another £700ish, then the store stuff.... and TCG.... Jeeeesh, I need to get a life ><

1 Wow vanilla to Wrath and dabbles of gold, token mounts easily must be £300+.

2 World of tanks i bought like 7 Premium tanks like Defender and KV2 Ragnarok and some gold no idea how much probably £200 since the beta.

3 Hearthstone in a period of no access to a pc i played arena basically and was hooked. Add Karazahn plus Blackrock Mountain expac probably near £100 now.

All this is too much when i was younger i was really dumb, Taken in by capitalism but these days you know i think there should be a hard cap on transactions per player or something because i can only imagine what people with issues could blow on these games based off anxiety and ego. Its just like loot boxes right now those that make decisions benefit from the tax money but someday it will face a gaming regulator i hope. I think the Goverment should set up a regulator looking at where younger people waste all thier money when they should have been saving for thier first plot of land. You can not eat wow tokens or Hearthstone cards in an emergency.

I few years back, I got into original Gameboy's as a collective hobby...

I'm scared to even think of how much I spent, I collected all the best condition/sealed Gameboys (1 per gen) until I reached the Gameboy Micro. I even visited New York to collect in person (and to verify) a Gameboy SP AGS-101 which was sealed. I also took the weekend as a mini holiday haha.

That combined with the hunt for the best condition/sealed games was insane. I eventually sold the collection after a year and actually made a decent profit! It was fun, but again, the amount I spent was stupid. Easily in the thousands.

On a single game, it's probably tied between the 3 MMO's I've played over the years, WoW being up top as I've had a running subscription for both EU and US accounts for the past few years and the EU account has been running since vanilla release. EVE Online next, same situation and finally Lineage 2.

Then for a single one time purchase game outside of the above as one is a hobby in collection and the other subscription. Easily Fable 3 collectors edition... The biggest waste of money I ever spent in gaming. Since then, I've only pre ordered a couple of games and never bought a collectors edition until after the release.

PoE think i'm over 1000USD. but also having played close to 4k hours it was worth it.
or maybe EQ2 back in the day but don't know for how long i paid for a sub, at 1 point i had 2 subs running

I was just watching a video of a guy who plays Black Desert Online and he's spent $160k (about £115k) on cash shop items.

I've never bought anything in a game.

Do you guys spend money in games?

You mean spent in a game, the most i spent buying a game was £39.99 and the most i ever spent in a game was £19.99 buying a Zombies Map Pack.

Its all turned into a bit of a rip off mostly

Probably about £200 on DCS bits and bobs and I bought most when they had a sale on!
A10C F-14 F-16 F-18 Supercarrier Spit P-47 P-51 Fw 190 Channel map Normandy map Syria and the Gulf map oh and FC3 :)

About £95 for DCS components but so far that’s worked out at £1/hour.

MSFS cost about £130 for the premium/deluxe package and another £100 easily on scenery packs.

Never spent a penny on skins or in game stuff though.
