I thought the rules around talking about politics on social media only applied to news readers and political commentators working for the BBC?
Apparently, there's a part of their rules that means it's essentially applied to everyone in a presenting/host role.
In reality, we all know it depends on their level of outreach to the public and whether their views align with the current government. It would barely make the front page if one of the presenters on say countryfile said something political on their Twitter profile.
I'm pretty sure Chris Packham has delved into political stuff on his social media before and didn't face any consequences.
