What "man jobs" have you done today?

Cleared out garage guttering. Realised it doesn't flow down hill, So took it all down and adjusted so the water flows to the down pipe.

Cleared out the other side and found the water flowed to the downpipe but the down pipe is blocked.

Next man job - Sort blocked down pipe

Had a stressful day yesterday - Wife ordered a new Vertical blind for bedroom - I had cleaned and painted window opening and just waiting for blind brackets - Only had top fix and needed vert fix - Got on with it - all up and thought where is chain to open blinds and where is rope to slide them open ?? -- all it has is a wand you have to turn for about 10000 turns just to turn blinds through 90 deg. and then you have to PULL the wand to slide them open.

H & bloody safety say you can't have rope and chains as little ankle biters will hang themselves.

What has world come to.

One of the older roller blinds has a plastic chain with breakaway link. - Is that now dangerous.

Emptied the shed, made screw-hooks for all the tools to lift them of the floor, bought some shelves, built shelves, placed everything back in the shed neatly. Binned all the crap I didn't need. Mowed lawn.

Next job is to create a climbing wall on the side of the garage for my son, just have to wait for the holds and fixings to arrive!

Put another camera up in rain

Went to use my bbq and the ash collector/adjustable air vents part fell off as it had rusted away. So made a new bracket out of some stainless sheet I had in the shed. I have no proper metal working tools, or even a vice, so its not pretty, but works fine.

^ Likewise. Nice short cut to leave to grown for 5 days before a good old weed & feed treatment.

Also, I've started making a compost heap at the botttom of the garden.

Currently sat in the sunshine deciding what else to do with the bottom lawn - its quite heavily shaded and the grass doesnt grow under a tree so will likelt remove the top layer, put some new sopil in and plant some shade loving plants.
