I just use the patio cleaner attachment on my Nilfisk.I cleaned the patio today, can anyone recommend something that can take off algy/moss off of brick work? Don't want to use the pressure washer as it might rip out the mortar.
I've only got the circle attachment, and it's way to powerful, it blew most of the grout out of my patio, so I've had to purchase 2 tubs of that easy grout to redo thatI just use the patio cleaner attachment on my Nilfisk.
Cracked on / started the new log store
Detailed plans and ingredients
Selection of tools and what not at the ready
"Before"
First off had to drain the water butt
The downpipe was a bit clogged .....
Cleared that, used a downpipe connector to reconnect where the water butt had been Teed in and cracked on
So first off coach bolted some 75*22 battens to the wall
Then some 47*47 at the lower level to take the "shelf"
Measured up the opening and decided on "bays" of 1.2, 1.6 and 1.2 and then started on the bottom brace with a 75*22 "face" with a 47*47 "lip" to take the other end of the shelf
Measured the same out of 75*25 for the top brace
Loosely screwed together and attached to 100*100 posts cut to 1.2m
Rince repeat for the other 1.2 section at the other side
I then cut lengths of 19*38 to space the two sections evenly off the face of the back wall
Then attached some noggings to the wall to screw four 75*25 sections back to front to give some rigidity
Then screwed the centre top and bottom front braces in
Using the 75*25 as roof trusses I bird mouthed out for the wall plate and the front brace
Rinse repeat a "few" more times ....
Put a shed load of screws in the main frame and tightened it all up with the trusses in loose.
Called it a day.
With nogging out the trusses tomorrow and screw to the frame and batten out the bottom shelf.
I'll then measure up for roof battens and tiles and put a few finishing touches on.
Hopefully more tomorrow ....

I feel partially responsible as I'd asked for basically an instruction manualIf you hadn't taken 3m photos you would have finished that today

Can anyone personally recommend a pull saw for furniture tweaking? I'm looking to shorten the legs on a chest of drawers and want something which is going to leave a nice tidy cut - Japanese pull saws seem to be recommended for the task!
