What "man jobs" have you done today?

Is it those particular light fittings that make the walls look like wet paint? They must reflect a lot on your mahoosive telly!
Shhh! They're the Boss's choice, after mine were rejected for "looking like two giant frisbees glued to the ceiling".

They won't be on when we're watching telly - in fact, they're very rarely on, full stop. She wanted lights that looked decorative even when they're not on - she's happy, so I'm happy...

...and I'm happy to go with the flow on "design choices", so long as I get final say on the electronics. Haven't quite found the right moment to inform her I've "accidentally ordered" two of these:

Chaps, what's the tool called I need to knock these in? Obviously have a puller but on the diagonal it's really not ideal (just brute force).

Is there something super sticky that can lock on top?

You're meant to angle them in when you lay it.
Never done that before - I'll give it a go. In the main house it just pushed in with a slight tap. That was 12mm tho, this stuff is 3mm lvt.

Edit; or a good kick wearing trainers. Unfortunately this has the underlay attached tho so it just binds to the floor lol.

Maybe its different click fit system then as that stuff is thin. I guess easing it in from the wall end will damage it.

The full length stuff is a breeze as you have a full board/an angle perpendicular. This corner/wall bits are at 45 which makes it annoying. I did see someone hot glue a block on but that sounds long.

@dlockers - some kind of plastic crowbar type thing pushed in from the wall side and then levered to push the board rather than pull... Not sure if it might damage the edge mind you.

EDIT - Something like the top one on THIS SET - push the left flat side between wall and board then push the lever towards the wall to push the board?

Started building new shelves for the wardrobes and working out how to install LED tape, as "it's too dark in here". Forgotten how much time in projects is spent moving rubbish so you can actually get in and do the work

This is my life. When the garage conversion is finished I can empty the big bedroom junk into there, and finish that room, which means I can put the middle bedroom stuff into the big bedroom, and do that, and then...

Nice rubber soled shoe and a "forward stamp" motion is your solution
Yeah this was my plan yesterday (hence why I laid them lose fit like that). Unfortunatly this is the LVT with the rubber backing and the stamp just makes it bind more

Have a proper floor puller that you can whack with a mallet.

In the end I was inspired by 200sols so managed to get one in by lifting, twisting and clicking --- and then realised quite quickly it was actually easier to get the short side in and whack the length in. Almost there now - final 5% to go. Looking great. Actually like it better than the house!

Let's think of the most cowboy bodge to close those gaps:

Brown sealant
Sawdust and epoxy
Match sticks and super glue
Spray foam
Brown felt tip pen to colour the underlay
Cover it with a rug

...leave it as it is?
