What "man jobs" have you done today?

Finally have a floor in the garage again! Last boards went in Friday. A friend came over for some board games, hence makeshift table.

Bonus that the new floor is actually built to a sensible height and feels level with the hallway.

Chaps,

I need to prime and paint a wooden door tomorrow, old 1930s thing. I have the shellac primer and water based. I plan to water based gloss over the top (Leyland). Which zinsser should I use? It's sanded well but impossible to clear off all of what I anticipate is varnish.

I also have some bedac msp leftover...

I gotta ask - 22 cameras? Is it a palatial spread you have?

It's our business premises, most will be inside :)

Care home?

Domiciliary care, we care for our service users in their own homes.

The Main Building consists of offices and a disabled wetroom/toilets.

The two-storey extension, the ground floor is a day centre, sensory room and kitchen. Upstairs is not used yet.

I have a load of photos from various stages, not really had the time to put them together.

The only part I didn't do myself was skimming the ceiling. Quite pleased with the outcome, we had a couple of quotes for the job and average was £18k, not even to the spec we really wanted. Spent £8.5k all in, so not a bad saving.
Very impressive, as with all the OCUK DIYers to be honest. I'm kind of amazed at how much some of you get through and the finish achieved!

Agreed.
I hit a bit of a roadblock after I tore a ligament in my neck a few weeks ago (20L bags of Catsan Litter at Costco  ), meaning I can't raise either arm above shoulder height.
Physio, heat pads and careful use of Ibuprofen (dodgy liver) aren't quite doing it, but managed to avoid falling off the opioid wagon again.

Have to remind myself I'm not Superman and that the only way I'd get called "young" now, is if I die  .

Not as bad as you but I remember wrecking my shoulder at the start of 2023, and ending up with severe gastritis after long term ibuprofen/naproxen use :(

Not a sensation I want to feel again!

I believe the zinsser shellac based primer is what you want.
