What RAM are you getting/bought for Ryzen

Well some progress at last with the latest 1.06 update for my Asus Prime B350M-A board.

The notorious LPX 16GX4M2B3000's in my system are at least running at 2400 now! Still wasn't interested in a simple DOCP @ 2933. Due to the potential annoyance of removing a 1080 to short the cmos if things go south, I'll leave any further faffing about till my day off.

But we're getting there.

Well just ordered the 8Pack kit, hoping for 3466 on the Taichi. @8 Pack is there any special tweaks or anything I need to know before I start fiddling? Or is it a case of load the XMP for 3200 and knock up the multiplier to 3466?

Ditto, need to know if the new SPD is a plug n play or if Prodct needs changing etc.

I did Hcl mem test today 3466Mhz and 3600 Mhz. I think 3466 c15-15-15 but I don't have the screen shots at home. Volts upto 1.45 totally fine on b die.

3200 is plug and play.

My advise is try, all sticks I tested can do 3800-4000 c18-20 Intel.

On Ryzen I think all c16 3600 on Crosshair V.

Any chance of giving us a screeny of the sub timings at 3466 and 3600 as a cheat sheet :D

I can confirm the 3200 is plug n play. I just picked the DOCP standard and booted fine. It's past the Techpowerup mem tester (20) runs and an Hour of Adia.

I've had an R7 1600/gigbayte AB350 gaming 3 delivered today and I'm looking at 2 x 8gb DDR4 to go with it. I've been reading through upmteen threads about ram for R7 cpus and to say I'm more confused than when I started is an understatement.
I'm not interested in overclocking the ram, just want it to run at the rated speed, so I'm looking at the this stuff:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...al-channel-kit-grey-tlgd416g30-my-087-tg.html

Speed should suit the R7 1600, (3000mhz), Team group appear to be reasonably reliable, and its dirt cheap in comparison to the other ram available.
What do people here reckon?

Well I couldn't hold out any longer, so I caved in and got the "Vulcan T force (2 x 8gb) 3000mhz dual channel "grey", should be here either tomoz or Monday, not fussed really. I've heard some good things about this brand of ram and if its good enough for 8 pack, then it should be good enough for me although 8 pack reckons that 3200 is the one to for.
I reckon this lot is a bit of a bargain if it works first time or with minimal messing about in the bios as its really quite cheap, only £109.
Even if it only runs at 2400mhz its still cheaper than some 2400 speed ram, and hopefully there'll be some bios updates to sort the ram compatibility out in the future.

What is your TRC value in CPU-Z? Mine is auto setting to 97 which seems very high... @8 Pack is this right?

I am around 84 I think.

Well i've lowered it much more than that :o

I thought it was meant to be tRAS + tRP + CR = tRC ?

Anywho, it's in windows at 3466 @ 15-15-15-36 52 1T @ 1.4V at the moment (don't know why CPU-Z/AIDA say 16, it's set as 15 in BIOS), just giving it a blitz with memtest now. Fingers crossed it's solid. :D

@8 Pack Just watched your new Ryzen OC vid. Saw you stuck 1.45v at the bios for 3.9Ghz. Is that kind of voltage safe?
