What RAM are you getting/bought for Ryzen

I have this RAM: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...al-channel-kit-rgb-black-tf1d4-my-08m-tg.html paired with an Asus 350-F mobo. Could not get it to post using XMP profile, even with voltage up to 1.36 (I think, can't quite remember). Got it to post at 3066MHz but games crashed and got a blue screen as well so had to roll bios back to default settings. All worked well after that. BIOS is latest version, first thing I did.

Any tips to get more than the default 2200MHz (or there abouts) speeds? Bit annoying that it doesn't work on default profile...
Set xmp and change to 2933, most non b die ram seem to be happy to run at 2933. You'll see quite a jump in performance going from 2200 to 2933. Not so much from 2933 to 3200, in fact outside of bench marks you'll probably not be able to notice any difference.

I have 3200Mhz G.Skill FlareX in my Gigabyte x370 K7
Worked perfectly at 3200 since April (checked using CPU-Z tool). I've updated BIOS 3 times from original and still seemed ok. I have checked it was running at correct speed a few times since.
After not using PC for 4 days I booted and got 3 beeps, F9 error and constant reboots while it tried to start up.
Only way to post reliably was set memory back to 2400.
Went back to F3 (original) BIOS and did another CMOS reset. This now seems possibly better.

Still not working reliably now at 3200 I feel. It was definitely good at the XMP profile speed previously.
Best to change mobo or RAM first...or is there any mobo where 3200 speed is more reliable?

Thanks, tried that and seems stable so far playing games. That's good enough for me :).

Will the Dark Pro 8 Pack RAM fit under a Dark Rock Pro 3 cooler? Don't really want to buy another cooler if I can help it.

You don't need any cooling performance on memory I run 2v often without Heatspreader fine.

Just the top fins is no issue with warranty either.

Righto quick update.

Kids started to get instability minecrafting so investigated further.
Using just DCOP for 8Pack RAM doesn't set all the required values correctly.

TrC_SM had to be changed from AUTO to 97 - since which BANG! - 4 hrs realbench and 12 hours prime95 stable lol

Think I might have got a bargain with this - 3866mhz and Samsung die? - Should work good with my Ryzen setup!

I have a 1600 installed into a Gaming 3 board and Nighthawk 3200 RGB Ram.

Been getting random BSOD and when searching always seem to relate to Ram.

I have enabled the XMP to 3200 and wonder if this is the cause, just dialed the Ram back to 3066 and will see how I get on.

Should I really be able to run at the rated 3200 problem free?

That's most likely Samsung D-Die i'm afraid. Though the actually identifier isn't there, it has a ? instead but K4A4 is either E or D, but not the king that is B.

Oh, that's a shame but thanks for pointing that out.

It seems to be stable at 3333mhz so far so I'm very happy. May push for one more notch up, and/or tighten the timings. But seems very good so far.

Changed back to 3200, bumped the volts up to 1.4 and so far no crashes or reboots. Will just keep an eye on it.

Anyone know what the safe volts are for the Nighthawk RGB kit?

I am running 1,4v for the last couple of months, no issues there. 8 pack said 1.4v for DDR4 is not a problem.
