What RAM are you getting/bought for Ryzen

Does anyone know what RAM speed I would be able to get out of the Asus ROG Strix X370-F AMD X370 motherboard paired with a R7 1700..?

I'm debating whether to get the above board of the Asus CH6 board.

I'm going to get the 8Pack DDR4 16Gb memory kit either way but I'm unsure whether a) I'll get 3200Mhz with either the 3200Mhz/3600Mhz kit and b) if I went for the 3600Mhz kit would I be able to get anything higher such as 3466Mhz at CL16 etc..?

Thanks,
Stu

Hard to say what speeds you will reach as there are a lot of variables, however you should get 3200 easy enough.

CH6 and 1700X I am currently at 3333 with the 8 pack 3200 memory. You may be able to reach 3466 with that memory too.

For a tenner more it might be worth a go with the 3600 8 pack memory.

I am running 3200Mhz with Corsair LPX on that board. Mind that I am not suing the latest BIOS, I settled for 0813 due to the problems that the new one bring to the table. I could not post with stock freq and stock memory with the 0920(I think that the right number)

So I guess with the 8Pack 3200Mhz memory which are Samsung B-Die I believe I should be able to get at least 3200Mhz on the Asus ROG Strix X370-F motherboard, I wonder if the 3600Mhz will yield a higher clock speed..?

Sorting out this AMD build has been so difficult in terms of deciding on a motherboard and memory pairing, I keep going backwards and forwards, its slowly driving me mad :p

I have the CH6 with bios 9920 and use the stilts 3466 memory profile built into the bios. For me it is stable with no issues. 3600 crashes after a while. This partly luck of the draw with the CPU's IMC.

3333mhz very easy on 3200 8Pack sticks. 3600 can do 3466 pretty easy on ryzen vary rare 3600 because string IMC is then needed. 3466 is usually fine but again IMC comes into it.

ANy idea if the Asrock AB350 Pro4 would be able to run these at 3200 or faster? (My Patriot Viper is throwing errors galore)

I know it's not in the comparability list <clicky> but i'm hearing nice things about it.

Is there a way to check if the RAM I have installed is Hynix or Samsung? CPUZ doesn't show it as far as I can see

I have the corsair vengeance 2x4gb LPX in my gigabyte 350m gaming 3 mobo. XMP applied it's showing 3200mhz in the latest bios no problem, playing doom last night with my afterburner monitoring on it was reading at 3506mhz. Went to check hwmonitor and it read the same what's the crack with this?.
Timings are 16-18-36 with voltage at 1.368, this is with a 3.9ghz oc on my x1600.

I have this RAM: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...al-channel-kit-rgb-black-tf1d4-my-08m-tg.html paired with an Asus 350-F mobo. Could not get it to post using XMP profile, even with voltage up to 1.36 (I think, can't quite remember). Got it to post at 3066MHz but games crashed and got a blue screen as well so had to roll bios back to default settings. All worked well after that. BIOS is latest version, first thing I did.

Any tips to get more than the default 2200MHz (or there abouts) speeds? Bit annoying that it doesn't work on default profile...

Few questions about the 8pack memory range.

1. Any plans to offer 16gb sticks?
2. What are the chances these packs play nicely with each other if I were to buy one pack now and an identical pack later?
3. Any reason they wouldn't also be good for threadripper systems?

Corsair CMK32GX4M2B3200C16R Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz C16 XMP 2.0 High Performance Desktop Memory Kit - RED

I have seen this ram, does anyone know if it has b-die? I can't seem to get conclusive information one way or another.

Thanks
