What Retro Games Are You Currently Playing?

I splashed out £50 for a Guitar Hero guitar (for 360) and man it may have been nearly 20 years but it’s like riding a bike!

Have a few friends who were amazing at it, but for me it was like riding a bike with one broken pedal, flat tyre and the seat taken off just leaving the pole lol

I have one very funny memory of band hero on drunken new year's eve doing lead vocals for Livin on a Prayer :D :D

I’ve been on holiday with a fair bit of down time so I’ve been playing Driver 1, Destruction Derby, THPS4 ps1 and Crash Team racing on my handheld. Also Deus Ex Human Revolution on my Steam Deck, definitely one I’m going to continue on my big tv when I get home.

Started going through my C64 games and going on a Dizzy binge at the moment (well that and Nodes of Yesod) just finished Dizzy now on to Treasure Island Dizzy (thank god for save states!)

I broke the rewind key on one of my Spectrums playing Treasure Island Dizzy :p

Also, was it just me, or was the title screen for the original Dizzy quite creepy...with the angel and that demon...egg...thing...

I can certainly understand the rewind button - those blooming traps and the inventory system (whereby they just dropped on rotation) caused me all kinds of issues when I first played it - especially in the underwater part.

Yeah I know what you mean on the 'press fire to play' screen it was a bit odd to say the least. I think they got far more cartoony after that.

Still good games to play, even now!

I think it was indeed the underwater part that kept getting me! Still loved playing them though :) Fantasy World Dizzy was my favourite I believe and also the last one to be wholly developed by the Oliver twins (if memory serves)

You've inspired me to play through them again!

Amazing! Good luck with them, some are quite sneaky! If you want a slightly different experience then play the Amiga variants, the graphics are better and there's some extra puzzles (and you can go inside the whale by the air pocket in Treasure Island Dizzy amongst other things) if you haven't already played them. I'm still on the C64 versions I'll be on Fantasy World Dizzy soon! Got to find those blooming missing coins!

You could say Spectrum and Amstrad were the true originals. I prefer the C64 as there was less graphical 'issues' but then I played the majority on the C64 and Amiga. Amigas probably a better experience now just because of the graphics. On to Fantasy World Dizzy now!

Ah, mistiming a jump and rolling to your doom never gets old! I actually think I'm worse now than when I was young :p Good fun though :)
