What retro things have you done today?

I grabbed one from phils. Didnt think to look there for something this modern. Cheers

Am currently the furthest I have been through 3dmark03!

They have the articles and pages up, but most of the download links are dead if my recent endeavours to grab stuff from there are anything to go by (unless I was unlucky with the 5 or so drivers I tried to get), and unfortunately due to the way they handled their download slots, the wayback machine doesn’t have the downloads cached :(

Must be a bit hit or miss, had some modified 7500 mobility drivers from the site a few months back.

I'm tempted to download everything i find now and just archive it, only a matter of time before more stuff starts to vanish, be that drivers or reviews.

Does everyone know about this site: https://www.infania.net/misc/moboarchive/index.html

I only found it today whilst looking for a random motherboard.

We could do with a links sticky or something!

I’ve started doing that on my Mirrored Synology Rackstations, backed up to LTO6. Operating Systems, Software, Games, Drivers and tweaking documents. I can only see the situation deteriorating with mainstream websites.

Good idea, Openreach are around atm installing fiber in the street, so happy to host stuff once i get that!

Up to 3000 now. Very close to what the original reviews got so I will call this as working :)
Well with uplifts like that how can you complain! What did you change? I still think you could get closer to 4,000 but there could be many factors causing it.

@Firestar_3x These look to be the right DRAM chips for my ViRGE/DX. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-MT4C16...549109&hash=item2ef368492f:g:424AAOSwHoFXu7eI These are the right 50NS rated (matching the ones that are on the card) chips.

Shame that the S3 Trio64 only uses 4 chips total (2 soldered, 2 expansion) as I've got a fully populated S3 Trio64 "Diamond Stealth 64" here that has the right RAM, but I'd have to desolder the two on-board chips to put on the ViRGE.

Not worth potentially killing the card as it's a nice bit of memorabilia.
