What TV shows are you currently watching

Just finished From season 2 - more of the same but getting a little weirder, was worried at the end of season 1 it was getting a little too silly but they seem to have snapped it back in season 2 though it feels like the writers don't really know where they are going with it.

Watched a couple of episodes of The Ark (2023) the acting is not great, script flirts with cringe-worthy but so far it hasn't been too stupid or too over the top so will persist a little more with it.

Started watching Shelter on Amazon - not sure what to make of it so far, some intrigue, some good stuff but also quite a lot feels forced to tick off the various social justice and LGBT or whatever requirements.

Tried to watch various new/recently added shows on Netflix but most of it really is tripe or stuff which doesn't interest me one bit.

Netflix has been poor for some time now. Apple seems to have taken over when it comes to streaming services producing their own content. Netflix used to experiment, and used to go for some edgy stuff, but now it seems more concerned with producing content for the sake of having more content rather a focus on quality.

Started Top Boy last night, not usually my cup of tea but interest held after a few episodes.

Plus my street lingo vocabulary is increasing exponentially. I'm so down with the youth.

Court Martial: Soldiers Behind Bars - up to Ep 3

To Guns: Inside the RAF - up to Ep 2

I don't normally watch these type of shows, but they are an interesting insight to the military and its justice system.

Currently watching The Good Place.

It's...... mildly entertaining saying that I fall asleep sometimes.

The girl in it is quite fit.

The Mrs is enjoying it a bit more than I am. It's one of those American "goofy" comedy things.
Which girl? Kristen Bell? If so, go back and watch Veronica Mars <3

Special Ops: Lioness.

Quite enjoying it so far. It's not exactly winning any awards but it's a mostly good time. I'm not really one to get annoyed or bothered when a show does a strong female character, if anything I usually enjoy it. Though it took me a while to get over just how hard they tried to drive home how 'ard one of the protagonists are. They really wanted to drive home the fact this woman could do anything and it felt a bit too hamfisted to me.

Finished watching both:
1883 - Enjoyed this as much as Yellowstone, can get a little overly dramatic at times though.
1923 - Didn't enjoy as much, the sex and violence seemed more gratuitous. The Spencer Dutton storyline was very dull and considering the amount of money reportedly spent on the series, the CGI is laughable.

Just finished all 3 series of Mr Inbetween, not bad for somebody with no real resume.
Just started the crime series Animal Kingdom, 6 series and I never knew this existed, seems compelling enough having watched the first 4 episodes.

Jury Duty from a friend's recommendation. Has Episodes vibes but a pleasant little gem. Assuming the main guy isn't on it - got to take these reality shows with a pinch of salt......

My wife loved it so going to try and get her into Episodes now.

Started watching Netflix's live action version of One Piece, at first I was confused at the lack of Asian representation but I guess it's fine given every island is meant to be different. But even so, it's apparent.

Slightly confused by the woman playing Koby, probably a trans person, good old Netflix..

Not awful, I'll watch a few more.
