What TV shows are you currently watching

One Piece - was familiar with the manga/anime but never fancied it for some reason. Took the live action on it's own merit and found it pretty good.

Looking forward to a second season.
Just seen that it has broken some Netflix chart records previously held by Wednesday and S4 of Stranger Things, so I am optimistic that there will be a second season :D

The original series of Van Der Valk from 1972.

Watched the first episode on Britbox to see how bad it was but have just finished watching the first series. The plots are good and could remake them now properly and they would still hold up. Not like the naff version they did a few years ago.

Finally gave in and watched The Last of Us. The infected really grossed me out in some scenes but otherwise I really got into it and enjoyed the show. am looking forward to season 2. I even got a bit emotional when..
Ellie escapes the steakhouse and Joel hugs her and says "its ok, baby girl" :( awww
Although the episodes are an hour long it held my interest the whole way through (sign of a good show when I'm not checking how long is left lol)

On season 2 of Invasion just frustrating that I can't binge watch it all :D

Although was getting mixed up with The Last of Us because they mentioned a town which is the same name as a character in Invasion and I started thinking up theories of where it might be leading until I realised I was merging 2 shows together :o

Looking for something new to start in the meantime. Any recommendations for something similar to either one? Or something you might think is a must watch?

Might start Yellowjackets tonight
I think you would very much like "From" it's got vibes of a few different shows, a little bit like lost in it's"what's going on" vibe with a bit of early walking dead and last of us. It's very good I recommend to anyone that liked midnight mass (if you haven't seen that, I highly recommend that too) and thoughtful suspense horror

4 episodes into Silo and both myself and my wife are utterly engrossed, well paced, no filler, quality actors showing up all over the place, I have some theories but probably way off the mark. Eagerly enjoy sitting down each night after son has gone to bed for another episode.

Watched all of live action one piece over the last two days. At first I thought they got the actor choice wrong as I was hoping they would look like the actual characters, e.g I always thought Nojiko was more white than black, I expected usopp to have a big nose etc. As I continued watching it bothered me less and less and I started to actually enjoy it, pretty nostalgic.

I think I got to around episode 950 something on the anime but I started skipping a lot of it because it was filler or just constant scenes of crying and generally felt very childish(I actually kept picking it up and dropping it over the years), it just became boring to me. The live action made me want to pick it up again.

Nope, the anime is really that long. It has been going for a very long time, just googled and its at 1071 episodes, the live action seems to have condensed it down a bit. First episode was Oct 20th 1999.
Wow, that's insane - does it actually have consistently good content or just going for the sake of it?

So I started watching it when I was around 14 or 15 I think? I was quite hooked on it. There is an overarching storyline about getting the one piece, they broke this down into a journey which contains multiple story arcs as they progress through the world. Each arc covers a sort of sub adventure that still applies to the main story line and you see the characters slowly grow and progress. Interestingly there is more to the main story than simply getting the one piece (seemed a bit sci fi to me) which the characters will discover over time. I really enjoyed some of the arcs but others bored me completely, to me they got worse as they went on but maybe that was because I was getting older.

edit: forgot to say, in between arcs there is quite a bit of filler which I tended to skip...

So much filler indeed, but overall the only arc I hated was Dressrosa, MAN did that drag.

A few in this thread said nothing happens between the second and the last episode. I'm with you though, I really enjoyed it all.
Been off the forums for a little while so haven't seen those comments. Sure it's a bit slower paced than most mindless drivel pumped out across streaming services but to say nothing happens is patently false based on the first 4 episodes at least.
