What TV shows are you currently watching

Started another rewatch of Battlestar Galactica (2004) - it's a wasteland out there for anyone into their serious sci-fi so it's back to old faithful for what I think is my 4th watch through.

Lupin

Like a one man Heist show then it turns into something quite sinister and a proper cliff hanger at the end of season 1. Really tired today as it was just one more... next thing its gone midnight on a schoolnight :)

(French with subtitles, he knew the French could make good TV :) )

Has anyone been watching One Piece? I know it's based on an Anime, but I know nothing about it. Three episodes in and it's kind of delightfully weird and fun. Definitely a nice palette cleanser after gritter faire.

I didn't find City Primeval that bad, didn't have the wit or charm of Justified classic though.

I much enjoyed City Primeval. I'm kind of disappointed in the direction they have flagged for the next season. I felt it benefited from being a distinctly different show from the first, and that the first had wrapped up in a good place and didn't need revisiting.

Loved One Piece. In fact, while on holiday in Spain in August, I saw a shop with a One Piece T-shirt in and bought it :D
Wearing it now. :p

I did finish One Piece, I liked it enough to finish it but not enough to really rate it. It was very anime, had lots of incredibly dumb things in it (incredibly the guy fighting with 3 swords is somehow the least out there part of it) I think if you can switch your mind off and just accept that increasingly stupid things happen then you'll enjoy it. It didn't help that the main character was ******* annoying too.

Well they do have Les Revenants (The Returned), Zone Blanche, which is also a decent mystery. Both quite atmospheric.

I also enjoyed La forêt (The Forest), as a crime mystery. Then they have Dix pour cent (Call my Agent), which is a good comedy.

Le Chalet was a decent thriller too.

Like others in here Ahsoka and watched the first episode of One Piece. Haven't watched or read it in any other media but from what I've seen so far it doesn't really matter. Willing to give it a chance and decent first episode I thought. Taskmaster also returned Thursday which is a favourite of ours.
The first three seasons of the NZ Taskmaster are on Channel 4. Well worth a watch

You had a look at The Expanse?

I just finished BG... One of the few times he writers know when to wrap a show up rather than drag it out.

I've never watched some of the "big" series, which should I start with?

Game of Thrones
Breaking Bad
Peaky Blinders
Black Sails
Can't go wrong with any of the first 3, haven't watched the last.

GOT goes off the rails a bit in the last few seasons when they weren't adapting books anymore.
Breaking Bad has a slow but solid start and seems to get better every season - one of the only shows with a 'perfect' rated 10/10 episode on IMDB - 'Ozymandias'
Peaky Blinders absolutely falls off after S3, really should have ended it earlier - last few seasons are a slog.

Finished The Continental S1. Thought it was pretty good. Long episodes might put people off (3 x 80-90 mins) but there are reasonable points halfway into each that meant I just watched in 6 sittings.

Started The Wheel of Time, but I just don't think I can, so watched Ep1 of S02 and then switched to Shetland (well, S1 is 2 eps, so done them) and quite liked it.
