What TV shows are you currently watching

Definitely watch it. My only caveat to that is that it is very brutal / tragic with characters being mistreated and worse, which can make it a hard watch at times.

I enjoyed the last seasons at the time, maybe they won’t hold up so well on this viewing but it needed wrapping up and ending.

If you have somehow avoided spoilers then never look at this thread / the internet again until you have finished :p

Edit: I’d probably say GoT is my all time favourite show.
So long as no animals die! Lol!

I'm pretty nonplussed about humans dying

Ah, in which case I feel obliged to warn you that, yes, some animal die and (occasionally) in ‘sad / enraging’ circumstances.

This is within the first few episodes of the show… I won’t say when though! If you make it through those then you’ll be ok.

What happens to the humans is undoubtedly worse…!

Start the first season and let us know how you get on :)

I’m in season 3 of GoT now and that unspeakably horrible character has shown up:

Ramsay Bolton

… the absolute worst :( - surely one of the meanest characters ever. He’s too mean to even ‘enjoy as a fictional character’. And I know he gets worse. Urgh!

Finished Kleo and really enjoyed it.

Now watching The Frog on netflix, only halfway through but am enjoying it so far.

Also watched Who is Erin Carter and that was pretty decent.

FTWD - really enjoyed the first few seasons, but it really does deteriorate with each season :(

Dead City and Daryl are worth a watch, S2 confirmed for both.
Not gonna lie, TOWL was...bad. The second half at least. It started off strong but decended into a James Bond film starring Rick and Michonne complete with the brain off sloppy writing you'd expect and the Disney fairytale ending.

I'm probably chasing shadows at this point for something resembling the first few seasons of the main show :(.

Ah that's a shame. It wasn't the best, but it had its moments. It was good to see Rick back and wrapping up that part of his storyline.

It did go flash to bang very quickly at the end!

Yeah the first 3? episodes were great and really gave fans what they wanted in my opinion. Lincoln return to the role of Rick was perfect. Then after that it ended up feeling more like fan fiction where the stakes from the first 3 episodes basically didn't matter and the characters knew the writers would come up with a way to get them out of the situation.

Oh, and the CRM are just plain evil. The whole 'Echelon briefing opened my eyes' thing was weak as hell. Felt like they could have come up with something better to make Rick actually question his choices.

TBH only the first season and a few retrospective sections here and there are really any good, much of the rest is the anticipation/hope it is going to build into something good :s up until it just goes downhill hard.

I don't agree personally but I can see why people would feel that way. Seasons 1 to 5 were great TV and if you ended it there it I would consider it one of my favourites even if it would have been a fairly flaccid ending.

Zombie shows/films are always hard to end without either pulling a cure out of your arse or everyone dying :p.

Generally they rush to the point where everyone is a zombie except a few survivors, few spent the time on the actual fall of civilisation itself where there is loads of potential for interesting stories, etc. which I thought they were going to do with FTWD but even that rushed through it. Could probably get 2-3 seasons out of the first hour or so alone if done right.

It is a bit of a conundrum where you go with it in the end though - even a situation where the survivors rebuild is difficult to make that interesting.

I've randomly started watching The Witcher, and I'm quite getting into it. I've binge watched series one in a few days and just about to start series two.

Edit: I've never played the games or had any real prior knowledge of it.
