What TV shows are you currently watching

Gave Suits a go the other night and immediately clicked with me and the missus, love the style of it and are about 5 episodes in...however...

Already noticed the whole "everything is going bad but realise how to solve the case last minute while talking about something unrelated thing" in every episode so far and hope this isn't repeated indefinitely

Finished 3Below: Tales of Arcadia

SO much better than Trollhunters, they made even the crossover episodes liveable.

Cracking show, great pacing, writing, and pokes at Trump without being too SJW-in-yo-face.

Lively!

I'm up to episode 8 of series 3 of the grim Italian crime series, Gomorra, currently on NowTV. And I don't want to watch the final few episode, because you only get to watch them for the first time once and I'll be sad to reach the end.

Ok, it took me a while to get into series one... subtitles, no characters I liked, depressing scenarios and outcomes; it didn't really feel like entertainment. But somehow it got under my skin by about episode four and I've chewed through the rest without much of a break... which may be why I feel so depressed. ;-)

Anyway, highly recommended, but not if you're feeling a bit down already. Wait until you're on a bit of a high, and there's a chance you'll still be more than suicidal by the time you reach the end. I think it's on NowTV for another month or so.

Edit: Oh, forgot to say if you do watch it on NowTV, remember not to hang around in the series menu for long, it's easy to accidentally glance at the short episode summary of the episodes ahead, and even the thumbnails can be a problem because if someone appears in that you know they haven't snuffed it by then.

Gomorra is one of the best crime drama shows I can never convince anyone to watch. Its worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as The Wire in my honest opinion. Has an absolutely sublime soundtrack at times too.

I've watched it each year on release and feel a little empty at the end of each season with the long wait until the next.

There have been episodes that absolutely broke me and left me close to tears, anyone whos seen it will know what I mean.

@Andrew_McP be interested to see your comments when you finish season 3, the final episode stayed with me for days.

A few episodes in to Russian Doll.

A sort of Groundhog Day/Happy Deathday hybrid, short 8 episode run with easy to digest episode length, enjoying it so far.

The ending to Gomorra was every bit as tense and dark as I expected. It's great TV, as you say.

However... by the time we got to that episode I was basically primed for everyone to kill everyone else, so I'd kind of 'let go' of the feelings that had built up for most of the main characters through this series. I think the only surprise I had was Wizard getting a headache. Ciro was always a dead man walking, but despite my expectations of doom, his end did put a lump in my throat, sacrificing himself... or at least making sure (maybe!) that Gennaro didn't get snuffed too.

All in all, by the end I wasn't really happy for any of them to 'win' and I look forward to watching the inevitable poostorm aftermath. But right now I feel like I need a shower to get rid of some of that backstreet Naples stench of corruption.

Tried into the dark, someone mentioned its like black mirror the haunted version.

Pretty bad maybe the first episode and pooka episode showed any thing where you don't fall asleep, more episodes in the future are coming, looking at rotten tomatoes and reviews seemed to get around 55-60% ratings.

Tried Trollhunters series, fell asleep to that drivel on the 2-3 episode.

I've only watched The Body so far, but I enjoyed it.

I thought Trollhunters was great! I only watched it to check it was suitable for my 8-year old son (it had a 12 rating at the time - seems to have downgraded to a PG now), but liked it so much after a couple of episodes I watched the whole lot :D

Just watched 'You' and 'Sex Education' on Netflix, need something else to binge on Netflix or Amazon with the mrs now!

Just watching Nightflyers at the moment. Its not bad, just concepts have been pulled from most other scifi programs with a George RR Martin twist.
I finally got to the end but it was a chore. Really went downhill fast. Acting was so wooden too, epecially Lommie and Mel. I only liked the Aussie scientist guy and his wife too ;)

Yeah the start episode the body was decent, probably best one out of the lot. Not sure how they did the other episodes... only the pooka one was decent.
But try it you may like the others, others on the way in march +

May have given up on it tad too early tbf it does appear to have good reviews in general and its on season 3 already so must be doing something well.
