What TV shows are you currently watching

I had been meaning to watch this for years and finally got round to it last year - burned my way through all episodes - very enjoyable tv and other Olivia is nom.

Yeah I really enjoyed it the first time round, especially when it gets past the initial "monster of the week" set up in season one and lets the story arcs open up.

Also doing my best to spot September this time, now that I know he appears in every episode.

Ah, i thought you hadn't seen it before. As for September, there is a youtube vid that shows all his appreances, after each episode i would watch part of the vid and see how many times i missed him/them - quite a few times :(

Re-watching the Sopranos atm (first time for the missus) - just epic.

Also watched s1 of The Leftovers which was good, waiting on a used S2 BD arriving in post as it's currently doesn't appear on any streaming platform (at least legally)

Just binged them all, my favourites were 2, 4, 8, 10, 13, 15, 17 and 18.

4 and 10 could make great TV shows or indeed video games imo.

Also, the level of the animation at times is incredible.

Starting watching the wire. Have given up after 4 episodes; not sure whether it's one of those where I had built it up too much after going by imdb.

Unless it's worthwhile persisting?

I think No3 is the best one for the time scale format of the short, idea, execution, tension and art. It got going from the first second without any dialogue and has enough mystery in the end to make you think long afterwards.

It is quite a slow show and for me S1 was the best. I would try and see the season out, if you don't enjoy S1, I wouldn't bother with the others though.

I've never really got what people saw in The Wire personally - granted I'd watched some shows inspired by it and/or newer of the same kind of theme before I watched it which probably makes a difference.

The first season was reasonable and built up as it went but nothing amazing IMO and the 2nd and 3rd I thought went downhill a lot and very dull.

Antiques Roadshow.
Like Question Time, slowly being ruined by the BBC behemoth that is: The Bruce.

Why are Blue Peter presenters being interviewed, what the flip has that to do with antiques ?

Slow build, mostly character driven, S1 does verge on boring at points and S2 is the worst of the entire show. However S3 onwards really hits it's stride and becomes utterly addictive viewing into S4 and a slight slowdown into S5.

Definitely persist but it's not a show you can watch with one eye on the phone or distractions, it rewards attention. One of the most satisfying endings to a show of this type as well.

TBH, if you still struggle after a few more episodes of S1, skip straight to S3 and watch recap videos of the first two seasons on YT.

Watched the first season of Fargo. Really enjoyed it up until the last 30 minutes when, for me, it turned into the wrong ending.
It may be from 2014 but...
Whilst Lorne was a bad person, he was a superb chracter and I very much wanted him to get away.

Finished Stranger Things and loved the whole two seasons. Most episodes of season one had me breathlessly exclaiming "******* hell" and whilst season 2 didn't have the same impact, it was still really great.

Back onto Bojack Horseman. Loved season 3 so much that I paused after watching it last year as I wanted to savour it a bit. Watching Season 4.

Sex Education

I'm late to the party as usual, pretty decent but I'm probably a little too old for it, being teen show and all. Very strange aesthetic, although I like the mix of 80s and 2018 visual theme. What I don't get is why this is even a British show, bar few cultural references and British accents, just about everything about it feels American?
